One week later. October 2nd

I was beginning to feel the weakness setting in when the first battles began. I thought I had done a pretty good job pretending nothing was wrong, but apparently, my acting wasn't as good as I believed. Tsuna-Chan saw right through me almost immediately, and made me stay in the HQ while the Allied Shinobi Forces, as we had decided to call ourselves, waged war on a white, aloe vera wannabe army.

When reports started pouring in that our own allies were attacking, I knew I had to step in. With the power of Sage mode, as well as the Bijū cloak, I was able to detect who was friend or foe. It made me feel stronger, despite the constant pain I was in.

"Don't push yourself passed your limit, kit. You know what would happen if you did that before you saw your mate again," Kurama reminded me. I simply nodded at him, not wanting to zone out in the middle of a war.

Suddenly, there were several shrieks, and many people stuttering in shock. I turned, and saw a wave of people, but I knew instantly they were not those white creeps. These were different, which made it harder to deal with.

"Okaa-San?!"

"Nii-Chan?"

"Jiji?!"

I stared at the army as it clashed with our forces, disbelief all over my face. These people were dead! And many of them I had just seen their body double, which meant these were the real people... or at least their souls. I didn't quite understand it, but it had something to do with a Jutsu Tobi-Sama had been working on right before I died. It was about using another body in order to retrieve a soul that had already departed, binding them to that body, and the Jutsu caster's will. It was something like...

"Edo... Tensei?"

I heard many gasps around me after I recalled the name of the jutsu.

"These people are Edo Tensei! Everyone!" I turned around and faced the squad that was near me. "This jutsu brings the dead back to life temporarily! In order to combat it, we must—!"

"Seal us," a voice spoke up from behind me. I whirled around, to be faced with the red haired man who had died in that paper tree...  Pe—no, Nagato.

"Nagato...Nii-San?" I asked tentatively. He nodded. "Do you know who cast this jutsu?" He shook his head this time. Well, that was a bust. "Then how do you know that's what we have to do?"

"Because it is the only thing keeping us in this world, a seal on the body. Either we are sealed, or we somehow finish whatever regrets may bind us to this world in order to be set free. Please, help me and Yahiko be set free, we don't deserve this kind of treatment. Accomplish your dreams of peace for us."

My eyes watered as I nodded. I turned around to the battalion at my back, only to see them fighting with loved ones, tears in their eyes, not wanting to do this, but being forced to.

"I need a Yamanaka who can send messages telepathically. Can someone get me in touch with HQ? This is important." Quickly, someone was standing in front of me, setting up a mental link with the head of the Yamanaka clan.

"Is there something I can help you with, Naruto-San?" The man on the other side was confused.

"I need a message sent to the whole Allied Force, Inoichi-San." The man waited patiently as I explained the situation as Nagato described.

"So we simply need to seal them unless we know exactly what unfinished business they have?" Inoichi-San asked skeptically.

"Yes, that's exactly it. I know it sounds impossible, but those are the only ways to defeat these things. Believe me, Nidaime-Sama wasn't screwing around when he created this Jutsu."
