I woke up to the baby being removed from my arms.

Who was it? Why were they taking her from me?

I opened my eyes, to find Mada there, holding the squirming newborn. A sleepy smile tugged on my lips. Mada looked so peaceful as he held her small fist. There was a serene smile on his own face, and he appeared calm as well.

"She's a beautiful little girl," Mada whispered.

How'd he know I was awake? He was paying more attention to her than to me, so he couldn't have seen me.

"She is," I replied. I was happy that we both were able to survive that night.

There was a knock on the door, which caused the baby to start crying. Mada let out a sigh, and stood with her in his arms.

"I need to go find out who's at the door. It could be Hashirama, or someone else."

"Are you really going to bring her with you?" I asked. If Mito saw her, I was concerned what that witch would do to her.

"Yes. The signature on the other side is not Mito's. I can't exactly tell who's it is, but it is not her."

I nodded, taking him at his word. He left the room and I stayed in the futon for a few minutes, before I finally decided I couldn't wait any longer, and rose myself. I quickly dressed in a house kimono, placing a slight genjutsu over my hair and face to disguise my identity. With that complete, I walked out of the room, and found Mada standing in the doorway, speaking with Hashirama, as well as a few other members of the clan. They were all rather distraught and asking if there was anything they could do for my husband. I wanted to say something, but I realized with the way I had disguised myself, I couldn't very well call him the exact thing I always did, lest it gave me away instantly, so instead, I decided to call him something else.

"Are you going to be returning to the bedroom, Otto-Sama?" I asked. He quickly turned around, staring at me for a few seconds, before nodding blankly.

I walked over to him and grabbed the baby from him. She had started to scrunch her face in that typical way most newborns do when they're getting ready to cry.

"I will go change and feed her. It was lovely to see everyone." I bowed slightly at them before pecking Mada on the cheek and walking away, lightly bouncing the baby and talking nonsense to her.

I could tell I most likely caused an uproar, though, because I could hear them all raising their voices at Mada, simply because I had called him Otto-sama as opposed to Mada-Sama like I usually did. But I also had thought my usual would have given me away. I proved myself wrong though, since I didn't think about what to call him instead. And in the context I used, it probably sounded much worse.

I shook my head, leaving and allowing him to handle damage control, dropping the genjutsu as I went.

It was while I was heading back to the room that I heard Jira-Chan's voice barging in from the doorway.

"I want to see my imouto! You kicked me out right after she was born, and I never got to meet her! Let me see her!" Jira-Chan cried out, sounding very angry and hurt.

"Of course, Jiraiya. Naomi-Chan just took her to my bedroom to feed and change her. You can follow and meet your imouto if you would like."

I wasn't sure if Jira-Chan would understand that Naomi was actually me, but he didn't question it, and instead, I heard his rushed footsteps coming after my own slow ones. I glanced over and found him catching up to me. I stopped and waited for him to reach me, before I turned and smiled.

"Hello, Jira-Chan," I said. He nodded before staring at my arms. I shook my head with a smile on my face, before carefully kneeling down and showing the baby to him. His face lit up brightly when he caught sight of her.
