This is also my AU about BATIM.

''

"Ma'am, I understand the situation that is going on. You need to give us time---"

"No! You don't understand! He's missing. He's missing!"

"Please Mrs., try and calm down. We are trying our best to find him with little to no information about his disappearance."

". . ."

"We will report back to you as soon as we find information in which we can tell you. Though. . ."

". . ."

". . . You must consider other options. . .y'know. He could've---"

". . . No."

"Mommy, where is daddy?"

". . ."

"Dont worry dear. He's somewhere. . . safe and sound. He'll be back soon, sweetie."

That was the first lie.

"Madam. Is it alright if you and your daughter attend to the police station tomorrow? We only need to ask a few questions."

". . . Sure sir."

The other line hung up.

The mother put the phone back up on its rightfully spot on the wall and turned to her daughter.

Her daughter looked at her and giggled.

The mother smiled at her daughter.

"Is daddy play hide and seek with us, mommy?" The younger girl said.

She saw her mother's smile slowly fade away. It still remained, it was just a small and sad smile.

The little girl didn't understand why.

The mother slowly walked to her daughter and crouched to about her level.

"Yes dear. But he is hiding somewhere else besides our house. It's better for you not to find him. He'll reveal himself for dinner."

"Aw, okay! Will he be back before supper?"

"Of course."

That was the second lie.

''

He never showed up.

Not anymore.

I waited, waited, and waited.

I knew he would arrive for supper one day.

One day.

Mommy told me he would arrive in time for supper each day.

She lied.

I never called her out for it though.

. . .

. .

.

Mommy used to cry.
