Chapter 23

They got in the car, and Erwin drove silently. They just glanced at each other from time to time, as if checking that they were really together.
After a while Erwin called a number, and put it on the loudspeaker.
"Hey, Mr. Hannes"
"Hey Erwin. How are you?"
"Perfect, never been better" he said and looked at (y/n), smiling confidently.
"Good to hear."
"Can I ask you to take care of the cats for me? I wasn't planning on leaving them."
"Yeah yeah, sure. I hope that everything is fine. Is your father ok?"
"Yes, don't worry. Thank you so much Mr. Hannes."
"No worries."

"Seriously, what are you planning?" (Y/n) said after he finished.
"You'll see in a minute."
They arrived to Riess's hotel. The most chic and luxurious hotel.
"Erwin! Are you insane?"
It was an extremely expensive Hotel.
"I told you, we're celebrating."
"We don't have any clothes."
"We'll manage. Stay here" he said and got out of the car, then went to open the door for her.
They checked in and went to their room.
"I'm going to take shower." She said.
"You're not going to do anything."
He lifted her bridal style and placed her on the bed.
"Erwin, no!"
"What?" He looked at her, wondering.
"I don't want to.. not now.. we still have to talk!"
"Oh, of course we're not doing that now, (y/n), not until you ask for it, actually. I just want you to rest, and I'll prepare your bath."
"Ok." She said quietly, a little embarrassed.

He took off her shoes and she layed on her back, while he went to the bathroom, took off his clothes and wore a bathrobe, then filled the bathtub with water and soap. When it was ready he went to (y/n) and carried her again.
"I'll get used to that, you know."
"I want you to, I'll be carrying you all the time from now on."
She smiled at him. He was counting those smiles.
He placed her on a chair and said: "can I undress you?", She nodded. "Don't touch me, though." she warned him.
"Yes, ma'am" he replied, making her smile again, she missed hearing him saying that.
He unzipped her dress and took it off, putting it aside. Then he unhooked her bra, noticing that her breasts are more full and round. Then he took off her underwear. He carried her again and put her in the water.
It was a large bathtub, she rested her head and sighed in relaxation.
He sat on the floor beside her, just enjoying looking at her.

"So.. umm." He said.
"So what?"
He cleared his throat, it was going to be his first time to say it out loud, "we're going to be parents by the end of this year."
She looked at him in fear and her heart beats started to fasten.
"Yeah.." she managed to say.
"How was the first two months?"
"Umm, healthy? That's what the doctor said."
"You went to a doctor?"
"Yeah, Dr. Ackermann. She's Mikasa's mother."
"Aha, good."
"Did you.. think of names?" He wanted to keep the conversation going.
"No, not at all." She said.
"My dad's suggesting Isabel if it's a girl."
"Isa-bel.. mmmm, it's nice actually."
"It's my mom's name."
"Really? You don't talk about her."
"I don't know much about her, she died when I was three."
"Oh Erwin, I'm sorry!" She said and got her hand out of the water and held his hand.
"It's ok." He smiled at her And kissed her hand lightly.
"How do you feel now?" He asked.
"Quiet, for the first time in a while, my heart is quiet." She replied while closing her eyes.
"Good." He sighed, still staring at her. "Let me wash your hair." He sat behind her on the bathtub, and got the shampoo bottle and took some of it then started rubbing her scalp gently.
"Mmmmm" she missed his touches so much.
He rinsed her hair with water.
"Thank you." she said.
"Thank you for letting me do it."
She looked at him and smiled again. Each smile from her was curing his heart.
He helped her stand and rinsed her body with water and got her a bathrobe quickly.
He carried her again.
"Your back will hurt." She told him.
"I've been practicing in the gym for a while, don't worry." He smiled confidently.
He put her back to bed and kissed her forehead.
"You look sleepy." He said.
"I am, honestly." She replied, eyes half closed.
"Then sleep tight, love. Good night."
"Where are you going?"
"I need to shower and adjust some stuff so we can stay here together, ok?"
"Ok, goodnight." He gave her a light kiss on the lips and left. She slept right away.
