TW - mentioning of body image issues and eating disorders.

----------------------------------

It was a strange feeling returning to Korea. For some reason Y/N was feeling a little discouraged. They had a contract, so she knew they were going through with the marriage, still, but she had hardly heard from him those two weeks she was gone. They obviously were not a real couple, so he had no obligation to actually do anything, but it still hurt. It shouldn't hurt.

Y/N had a stern talking to herself. Don't be so stupid! This is a job! You should enjoy it, have fun with everything you get to experience and just not... feel.

Arriving at the airport Sunwoo had texted Y/N to let her know she would be picked up by a driver. She had quite a lot of luggage this time, as she had brought a lot more of her clothes. She was staying a while, after all.

She managed getting everything on a trolley and smiled when she found the driver holding a card with her name in the arrivals area. How VIP! He took care of the trolley and took her out to the same big SUV that often drove her around Seoul. She opened the door to the backseat, and nearly peed her pants.

«Hi!»

«Seonghwa!» she said and held a hand over her heart. «What are you doing here?!»

«I'm here to pick up my future wife, obviously,» he said, laughing at how shocked she looked. «Get in!»

«Gees, you scared me!» She got in and closed the door. He initiated a hug and per usual, she kissed him on the cheek.

«I'm sorry, I was just able to take a few hours off work, so I thought I might surprise you.»

«Successfully!» she said and took a deep breath to calm down. «Well, hi, how are you?»

«Better now that you're back.»

«Smooth,» she said, rolling her eyes like she did a little too often. «Are you well?»

«Yes, everything is fine. I don't think I killed your plants either.»

«Our plants.»

«Right. Sorry.»

«Did you hang out at the dorm a lot or did you enjoy the silence in our apartment?»

«The silence was rather boring,» he said, and she smiled. «So yes, I was a lot with the guys.»

«Sounds good. It's a little strange getting used to not living with them the same way as before, I suppose.»

«Yeah, I guess.»

After not having spoken for a few weeks he had worried it would be weird talking to her again, but she was still the same, still professional and aware of her job.

«The paperwork came through,» she said and glanced at him again for a second. «I'll have to go to the embassy for a stamp on a paper, but then everything should be good to go.»

«Then we'll set the date as soon as possible.»

She nodded.

«We should go look at that ring, then.»

«Oh, yeah,» she said, pretending that she had forgotten about that. He hadn't mentioned it since those early dates, and she was too proud to mention it. A ring wasn't really necessary to get married. But she couldn't hide the smile that appeared on her face.

«Right now?» he suggested.

«Oh no, not with my swollen travel feet and hands, sir. Not going to happen.»
