"Uka come down already, your father has been waiting for you!"
"Coming mother!" Uka stretched and got out of bed, quickly placing on his work clothes and dashed down the creaky stairs.

His father was working in the farms already, harvesting some wheat and crops. Though Uka found this work tiring, he and his family would get good coin for their goods so he found it best to be quiet and on with it.

"You are aware that your 17th birthday is in a week son?"
"Ay, father"
"And you know what that means"
"Ay" Uka hated bringing up this subject. His 17th birthday meant being seperated from his family and his younger sister to find work in the real world.
"Father, is it really that bad to stay here?"
"Uka, my son, we have been through this already. You must go out and find your way in the world like all the other young lads. You must leave you home and boyhood behind."
"And if I dont?"
"Then i dont know how i would be able to live with a boy refusing to grow up."

Uka grumbled and faced down, without conversation he could finish faster and spend more time with him mother and sister before he is sent away.

The days work had been completed and he and his father had gathered up barrels of crops. He and his sister would have to bring these to the market in the city so sell.

Uka...
Uka looked up from the crops, he heared someone calling his name yet he couldn't see them.
He glanced at his father who had not taken notice of the voice.
"Ummm... father, I will be heading back now, will you manage without me?"
"Ay, son, whatever, go back and get cleaned."

Uka hoped to investigate the sound that was getting more urgent.
Uka... uka... uka...
The voice kept calling, and uka was getting nearer. Until he reached a tree which had a strange entrance leading into it...
