Uka had a peaceful sleep in the bed at the inn. It wasn't the confiest thing ever but it was better than a sleeping mat. He woke up early and opened the door to his room.
The whole inn was asleep at this early morning. A young lady was sweeping food and scrubbing whole puddles of spilled mead. Grown men and women were sleeping on the benches, hung over from the previous night.
A drunken man, double the size of Uka, stumbled towards him, wrapping his arm around his shoulder and swayed, a tankard of mead spilling around, Uka swayed with him under his weight. He muttered something incoherently and then proceded to colapse onto the ground.
"Eh, dona' mind da' laddo, this happens evereda' 'round 'ere! Ya and yer little lady there are set ta leave soon, better getch'er things ready!" He said, then proceded to carry the passed out man to his room. The interaction made Uka decide to leave imediately. He gently knocked on Lilian's door and she mumbled something. It took her a few seconds to open the door, "wha-?"
"We are leaving. We should arive home in hopefuly a day. You can sleep on the cart." He said.
"O-okay" she said, still dazed with sleep. She looked with concern as the innkeeper booted open a room door, with the giant man casually slung over his shoulder and walked in.
Seeing that made her face morph into that of confusion and a slight bit of scared. "Yeah, we-lets go...." she said, still looking at the innkeeper.Uka grabbed all their stuff (hardly any was unpacked from the sacks) and got the stable boy to unlock Seed's door.
Getting everyone has a hastle but Uka was glad to leave that inn. The innkeeper was uncomfortable to talk to and all the drunken people kept sticking too close for comfort. He had never felt this much human interaction in all his years living on his humble farm.
The thoughts of the farm flooded his mind and now he couldn't stop thinking of what might have happened to his family. The thought made him want to speed up the journey. It was only a day's travel away.
