Uka and Helga spent the rest of the day setting up their stalls and laying down their mats to sleep in the city square.
the next morning, customers were flooding in, buying goods from other stalls. it usually took a while for people to come to their stall so Uka passed his time by looking at other ones. hee had no money to buy anything, they had food an sleeping mats, so he could only just look around.
he got to the stall across the road when the ground started shaking. A giant green monster with tentacles srouting out of its back stormed in, flipping stalls over and digging into the ground.
Uka quickly pulled out the cloak and put it on, the cloak knew about the monsters and should know how to defeat it.
ahh there you are Uka
"cloak, how do i get rid of this monster!?"
i suppose i should tell you... i have the ability to grant someone a special boost of strength once a day. this could do great damage to Yeg
"th-that's Yeg?"
correct Uka, would you like to use it now?
"obviously!"Uka turned back to Helga, "HELGA! GO BACK TO THE CART! GET AWAY!"
he suddenly felt great power surging through him, he didn't feel afraid and he was ready to fight.
Uka dashed to the blacksmith's forge and grabbed a mace, running towards the monster.Yeg was huge, though Uka felt undaunted. He hacked and slashed at him, when Yeg whiped one of his large tentacles at him. Uka quickly hopped away and ran back at the monster, hoping to chop of one of his tentecles.
The job was much harder than expected, Uka feared it wouldn't work but he persisted, eventually, the tentecle came flying off, flinging over his head. He hopped up, using each tentecle as a ladder until he got to the monster's eye. Uka proceded to slam the mace in.
Yeg let out a horrifying, deafening screetch and flung Uka off, calling a retreat.
Uka was falling from hundreds of meters high. No human could survive that. Down below, he saw Helga looking up at him in shock, shouting his name.
Uka felt like he was going to vomit or pass out from the fear as the ground got closer when suddenly;
Fwoom!
Uka felt himself landing in something soft, a sheet maybe, but the momentum of the fall was too strong, even though the sheet slowed his fall.
He hit the ground."UKA!" Helga screeched
"Nonononono! Get up!" She cried.
Uka blinked his eyes open and let out a loud groan.
"Oh Uka! You're alright!"
Uka couldn't process what was going on all he could mutter was, "is the monster gone?"
For now, Uka
Uka had almost forgotten about the cloak and wanted to ask it what had happened but he felt too tired to respond.
Yeg has escaped, and he is healing. It was foolish to fight him while you were unprepared.
