CARINA WAS PANICKING.

She hadn't meant to show her powers in front of everyone, much less show them a broken casita.

The sky was dark but clear, not a single cloud in sight as the stars shone brightly. A cold breeze was present but the teenage girl didn't mind it at all.

She preferred the cold anyway.

Tears were falling down her cheeks, though they weren't tears of sadness, they were tears of anger.

The golden liquid stained her dress though Carina couldn't care less as she made her way through the darker parts of Encanto.

"Carina!" A sudden voice made her snap her head up, she abruptly stopped walking and quickly wiped away her tears.

"Camilo?" She muttered, turning her head to see the boy running up to her. His hair was bouncing up and down as he made his way to her, he wore an unreadable expression which made Carina slightly nervous.

She had expected him to yell or shout at her, though what she didn't expect was to be pulled into a tight hug.

"I'm so sorry Cariño." He whispered which made Carina's heart flutter, she was at a loss for words.

"I should've done more, I can't believe she talked to you like that, I can't believe I let her." He rambled, which made Carina laugh softly. Her anger died down the second she looked up in his eyes, she could easily get lost in them.

"Eh, don't worry about it." Carina shrugged, pulling her hair tie out of her hair which made it fall down into her face.

The two teens walked side by side, the streets empty which the two didn't seem to care about.

"Carina? What did you do when you left?" Camilo hesitantly asked, walking alongside the dark haired girl.

"It was an Illusion, I know it was a shitty thing to do and I probably ruined Antonio's special day." Carina groaned, only then fully realising what she had done.

Damn, I feel bad now.

"It was amazing." Camilo breathed out to which Carina furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

Camilo was practically buzzing in excitement as he replayed the scene in his head, he knew it wasn't real but it seemed very convincing.

"I mean obviously casita breaking was a horrible sight, but it's amazing that you can do that!" He grinned wide which led to Carina cracking a small smile herself.

Carina noticed Camilo looking around every few seconds, it was obvious that he wasn't very comfortable walking around the darker parts of the town.

Camilo was about to walk further when Carina pulled him back by his wrist, her eyes looking around the area before looking at him.

"Yeah we shouldn't go that way." Carina pulled him along to another way, Camilo wore a confused expression as he looked back at the area.

"What's wrong with that area?" He questioned, Camilo had never been in the darker parts of Encanto seeing as he never really needed to be.

"Just trust me, some fucked up people live there." Carina sighed, momentarily placing her hand on her stomach which still felt awfully sore from a few nights before.

Camilo noticed that action but didn't speak up, his worry grew however once he heard a slight wince escape her lips as she pressed too hard on her stomach.

"Are you okay Cariño?" He found himself asking, Carina quickly removed her hand and nodded, acting as if nothing were wrong.

"Just perfect." Carina winked at him, trying to change the topic which she desperately wanted to avoid.

The two teenagers stopped in front of her house, Camilo looked confused for a moment before Carina snapped her fingers.
His jaw dropped once he saw the house appear out of nowhere.

A golden glow shimmered around the house before completely disappearing into thin air.

"Wow." He gasped, looking up at the large house. "I can't believe your house is right here! I've walked past here so many times!" He exclaimed, throwing his arms up in the air to which Carina chuckled.

The girl pushed open the door, careful not to alert her mother who was probably already sound asleep in her bed.

Carina turned her head to look back at Camilo who seemed to be fidgeting with his hands, he was nervous.

Cute.

"I should probably head back." Camilo scratched the back of his neck as a half smile played on his lips.

"Will I see you tomorrow?" He asked hopefully, looking up at the girl who thought for a moment.

"We'll see Cami." She smiled, pulling him into a tight hug before reluctantly releasing him again.

Carina watched as he quickly walked away again, she let out a small laugh as he nearly tripped over his own feet.

The girl let out a sigh, she slowly closed the door and leaned her head against the back of the door. Carina was momentarily in a daze as she thought about Camilo's cheeky smirk and hazel brown eyes, when suddenly the lights went on.

Rosa Dorada was stood opposite of her daughter, her eyes as big as dinner plates as she tried to comprehend what she just saw.

"Mamá!" Carina exclaimed in surprise, trying to act as nonchalantly as possible, which didn't work at all since her mother could see right through her facade.

Please don't say anything, please don't say anything, please don't-

"Was that Camilo Madrigal?"

Shit.
