[Dinner Disaster]

"EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PERFECT."

Carina nodded hesitantly, writing up notes in her little notebook so she wouldn't forget what to do. She had been sat in the room of the eldest Madrigal for what felt like hours, going over things so the Proposal Dinner would be perfect.

Alma Madrigal watched the teenage girl carefully, she still didn't fully trust her but decided that it was best for her reputation to take the poor orphan in.

"Anything else I need to do?" Carina asked, twirling her pen around in her fingers as Alma took a deep breath in and shook her head.

"That'll be all." The older woman dismissed Carina.

Carina jumped down the wooden steps and looked behind her, a large portrait of Pedro Madrigal hung on the wall.

She had never really noticed the picture there but now that she finally noticed it she couldn't stop looking at it. A golden wisp of magic glowed beside her and Carina gasped when she saw an illusion of Pedro standing right beside her.

Carina quickly made the illusion disappear before making her way downstairs, not noticing Alma had seen the whole thing.

Isabela Madrigal was freaking out, Carina was in the middle of sweeping the floor when more flowers fell from the sky onto the floor.

"Are you kidding me?" Carina exclaimed, angrily sweeping up the excess flowers as Isabela sighed.

"I'll be fine, I'm going to be fine." Isabela reminded herself, brushing down her perfect pastel dress.

Carina noticed her nervousness and frowned, she knew tonight was the might that the Guzmán Family would come over for dinner and that she would get engaged.

"Isabela? Is everything alright?" Carina asked, only earning a saddened look before her expression turned perfect again.

She flipped her hair back and wore a bright smile, more flowers falling onto the floor which annoyed Carina.
