CAMILO FELT NUMB,
he refused to let go of Carina even hours after her death. He had screamed his throat dry and was now left with his own thoughts as everyone around him practically disappeared from his view as he kept his eyes on her.

He tuned out the voices of his family who were telling him to let go.

He couldn't.

He would never let go.

He loved her too much to do so.

Dolores and Pepa were sat behind him, the others had gone out to find Mirabel who had disappeared. Dolores couldn't stand seeing her brother being in so much pain an decided to go and look for Mirabel as well.

Pepa sighed, placing her hand on her sons shoulder but he didn't budge. "I'll give you some time alone." She told him and he barely nodded.

"Please Cariño." Camilo muttered, his energy low as he brushed her hair back.

He looked down and noticed her necklace hanging out, he sniffled as he took his necklace off.

He brought up her part of the necklace and held his part toward it, connecting his with hers for the very last time.

"I love you Carina." He mumbled, holding her hand tight when something strange happened.

Her skin, which had been deadly pale for the past hours, suddenly regained its colour. His heart started beating faster as he saw small golden glows around the necklace, it seeped into her skin making it glow.

"Carina?" Camilo asked frantically when Carina suddenly gasped sharply.

Her eyes snapped open as she took a deep breath in, her heartbeat was slowly getting faster.

"Camilo?" Carina voiced, her throat dry as Camilo started crying once again.

"You're here, you're okay." Camilo cried, Carina wrapped her arms around him tightly as she too shed some tears.
