I ran up Daniel soon after that, pounding at his door. "Daniel, let me in." I waited a minute for him to open the door. He was already dressed for bed. I raced into the room before he could even invite me in.

"Look at this," I flashed the letter before him. "We are no longer supporting you, Isaac. I'm afraid that it's just too much a hassle to send money your way when you say that you can support yourself. You did talk about how things are going well for you at your apprenticeship. Your father and I have agreed to send you money that should last you for about two weeks. We ask that if you cannot find a job by then, that you move back. Remember, Isaac, that this is out of love. P.s. your friend, Daniel, has made quite an impact on your sister. She cannot stop talking about him. Also, thank him for us over the large donation he has made for the charity event."

I looked up at Daniel then, my eyes were wide. "Don't they know that it isn't my choice whether I get a job or not? That its up to Dr. Glass to sign those papers?  Daniel, what do I do? This is all I have for two weeks! And Dr. Glass has just now allowed me to handle my own cases. I can't just ask him to sign the papers for me."

"I see," Daniel said. "That does seem like quite a problem."

"And when did you make this large donation? How much was this dotation?"

"Enough."

"Please tell me what to do! No, I know what I'll do; I'll just write back to them explaining that it's not possible. Ha! They can't scare me into coming back that easily!"

I ran to the desk and opened the drawer, pulling out some paper when I came across something. It was a letter. I held it up. "Are you writing someone?" I asked.

"That is what the purpose of a letter is for, yes."

"Oh," I said, putting it down and grabbing loose sheets of paper out. I grabbed a pen and while standing, began to write my letter. I made sure to sound very detailed, very organized as if to know what I was talking about. I wanted to make it sound convincing but still kind. I needed this money, and that I was almost there, I just needed more time.

When I finished, I held up the letter in completion. I breathed a breath of relief. "Finished!" I said with a smile on my face. I looked at Daniel who was by then sitting in his armchair, nose into a book. "I did it, Daniel," I said.

He looked up. "I can see that. When do you plan to mail that out?"

"Tonight, so I don't have to worry about it."

"I can do it."

"You will? Oh, thank you! I'm so very thankful!" I handed the letter to Daniel, but he told me to leave it on the desk, that he would mail it out by tomorrow while I was out of work. I thanked him one more time before deciding that it wasn't enough, so what I did was walk over to him and got down on my knees. I touched his leg, sliding my hand up.

He peered over his book. "What are you doing?"

"What do you want me to do?" I kissed his leg, inching closer to what he and I wanted most.

"I want you to do what feels right."

"This feels pretty right." I was getting closer. I was almost to the good spot.

"Isaac."

"Hmm?"

"Look at me."

"I'm just getting started. Sit back, alright? I'll do it if you want."

"Look at me, Isaac."

I glanced up at him. His face was expressionless.  "Go to bed, Isaac. You have work in the morning."
