"Ma!" Shinso walked into the kitchen. I looked at him but didn't say anything "I understand that you're punishing me for what I said, but it's killing me, please say something to me, this is worse than you taking away privileges"
"Go talk to your father" I said.
"You know he went to the vet with Ali and Loki" he sighed "seriously, I do apologise, I feel like shit about it, what do I do to prove that I'm sorry"
"Nothing" I started putting on gloves.
"Ma please"
"You can't do anything Shinso"
"Fine" he sighed.

I started washing meat.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Washing meat to marinate" I answered.
"For dinner?"
"No, for the culture day on Wednesday"
"But today is Monday"
"Your point?" I looked back at him "the meat must be marinated overnight to ensure flavour"
"Can I help you?"
"If you want" I said.

He rushed to put on gloves and help me wash the meat.
"Can I know what seasonings you use on the meat too?" He asked.
"You are aware that I'm cooking my cultures food and not your father's right?"
"Yes I know, I just want to know"
"Alright then" we changed gloves and I showed him the different seasonings I used. He helped kneed the seasoning into the meat and we put it away to marinate.
"What's for dinner then?"
"Um how is-"
"Salad, please say salad"
"No it's not salad" I threw away my gloves "how is pho?"
"Can we have salad with it?"
"Fine" I sighed "but if you want it you need to call your dad and tell him to buy the ingredients"

Shinso rushed over to his phone. At the same moment the door opened.
"We're back!" Aliyah giggled as she ran in with Loki.
"Hi baby" I kissed her cheek "so what did the vet say?"
"She said Loki is h-healthy" she smiled.
"Hi" Aizawa kissed my cheek. Shinso was glaring at him "what did I do?"
"I was going to ask you to get stuff for salad, mum agreed if you buy the ingredients then we can have salad" Aizawa instantly snatched his keys from the counter.
"Come with me, I'll need help with the amount I'm getting" he said.
"Let me put on my shoes quickly" Shinso rushed.
"Dada where are you going?" Aliyah asked.
"To the grocery store" he smiled.
"Can I come?"
"Yeah sure" he picked her up.
"Can Loki come too?"
"Alright" he picked up Loki with his other hand "bye babe"
"Bye" I chuckled.

I started making a list of things to make for cultural day. The door bell rang and I went to open it. I opened the door and a man was holding a gun at my head. I looked behind him and there was another man holding the kids and Aizawa at gunpoint.
"Give us everything you have or they'll all die" he said. Aizawa and I made eye contact and I smiled largely. I started laughing in his face. He looked at me shocked.
"You don't understand how bad I needed this" I smiled. Aliyah's face was pressed into Aizawa's chest so she couldn't see anything.

I snatched the gun from the man and quickly knocked him out with the end of it. I pointed the gun at the other man.
"Drop the gun now" I stared at him. He lowered his gun "pass it to me" he tossed it to me. I walked over to him and pointed the gun to his skull "bye" I held eye contact and shot him. There were no bullets in the gun "what a waste" I threw them on the ground. I easily knocked him out with my bare hands and he fell to the ground.

"You can go to the store, I'll take care of them" I looked at the others.
"You have to teach me how to do that!" Shinso said.
"I will later" I walked over to him "are you Ok?"
"Oh yeah I'm fine" he shrugged. I looked at Aliyah. She was asleep on Aizawa.
"Did she see anything?" I asked.
"She was asleep by the time I put her shoes back on" Aizawa said.
"Oh, are you Ok then?" I asked.
"I've been through worse" he shrugged "well we'll see you soon" he unlocked the car and put Aliyah inside.

I waited for them to leave then called the police. They arrived within minutes along with Endeavor, Nighteye and the chief.
"N/n are you Ok?" Endeavor rushed over to me.
"What happened?" Nighteye followed him.
"Yeah I'm fine" I smiled "they just tried to rob me"
"Are these theirs?" Chief picked up the guns.
"Yeah, but they're empty" I said. Everyone paused and looked at me "what? They had my kids at gunpoint, of course I was ready to kill them if I had to" I said. I noticed one of them waking up. I walked over to him and stomped on his head harshly. He was instantly knocked out "but if you could get them off my property before my kids get back that would absolutely amazing, please" the men were quickly cuffed and put in the back of the police car.
