a gloomy fall

•··············•·············•

They so badly wanted to hit themselves for being so ridiculously stupid.

Well at first they thought it would be a good idea, since it was raining so heavily and the clouds blocked the moon, making it hard to make out outlines.

They now really hated themselves for that idea. They were hiding in the basket outside on the balcony.

Their laboured breathing were hushed when they heard the balcony door opening.

Their heart sank, as they thought that this was the end for them.

Then it got eerily quiet, the sound of the rain slowly fading out while the thumping of their heart occupied their hearing.

The basket was slashed open and a terrifying shriek ripped through the air, but they were quickly hushed when sharp, elongated claws reached out to Chanté's neck.

A deep red liquid seeped through the open wound, running down their neck. Contrasting Chanté's now cold body, soaking their already drenched clothing.

Slender fingers wrapped around their throat, staining their fingers with a crimson hue. Gurgled noises resonated through their mouth almost choking on the blood.

Oh how they so badly wanted to voice out their aching pain, but no sound left them.

Backing away in horror, eyes wide, and grew wider if possible when they felt the wet, cold steel of the railing sinking into their back.

In a panic to get away, they bent their body over the banister and soon saw the gloomy, grey sky.

The crystal tears of the clouds, splattered onto their face and their body impacted the ground forcefully.

The shattering of their neck bones first sounded out before the rest of their body.

Head tilted at an awkward and unnatural angle. Skin prodded at by the broken bones.

A lone tear rolled down their cheek. Eyes now lifeless, not a single sign of emotion leaked through them.

Face paling. The crimson paint continued leaking from their neck, mixing with the muddy puddle beneath their lifeless body.

The creature leaped over the railing, landing right above Chanté's body and started eating away at the dead girl's flesh hungrily.

Sadly this would not satisfy the bloodthirsty, flesh eating monster.
