Adam Andrew Brown
After class was dismissed, I was careful to not be seen talking to Sylver. Even though the idea was stupidly practical, I had to respect where she came from. I politely waited at least 5 minutes after she was gone to leave myself even though nobody would suspect us leaving class together.
I was to my locker and saw Shei was waiting for me there.
Shei was my best friend since seventh grade. We had the same film class. It wasn't a school class, it was an extra curricular activity. I met him and his twin sister Charlene there. They were hilarious people and always spoke in their posh British accent as they had moved to America from England after their parents got divorced. Apparently, their dad got them both and they now live in the coolest apartment in the city.
Malibu is a big place. I was glad I found them. Shei's dad, Mr. Tallman owns a chain of pastel coloured cupcake shops. He is incidently, not homosexual. He just enjoys pastry and pastel. He is my father figure.
I walked to Shei and asked him what was up with his ridiculous jacket. It was bright orange and made my eyes hurt his by looking at them. He claimed to attempt to start a trend. I told him that was a pipe dream. He told me fuck off.
Shei was my best friend.
"Hey, I need those notes from Chem and from Calculus," I said smiling my cheesiest smile. He didn't fall for my act.
"You're a douchebag who doesn't pay attention in class. I have no intention or interest in sharing my work with you, love," he said smiling a rather sarcastic one.
"But, baby!" I wailed. He started to laugh. "You're a dick," he said calming. "This dick needs your homework, buddy. Help a dick out?" I said with hopeful eyes. He narrowed his eyes and looked at me. He knew I had him. "You're a penis," he said as he handed his notes to me.
"So if I'm a penis, if someone were to hurt me, you'd be hurting? Aw baby," I said. He pushed me and called me a few worse names. I laughed at him. Even though we resorted to books and the internet and thought school dances were lame, it wasn't like we didn't know how to have fun. We weren't boring.
"So, Jack, do tell me about your little Rose. You were making eyes at her all through English. Mr. Little is a little cross at you, mate," he said walking with me. "What can I tell you? She's everything I ever wanted," I said looking down. "Awww little Adam is red like a red velvet cupcake. Take a picture people!" he shouted at the people in the hallway. I smiled at him. "You're comparisons are getting gayer by the minute, Shei," I said. "You have a pastry problem," I said again. He looked at me and burst out laughing. "You're a freak," he said finally and walked to his next class. He was one crazy dude.
I checked my watch. It was another few hours before lunch started. I couldn't wait. I walked into my next class which was Debate. But all I could debate about was it I should get her flowers or chocolates.

I went to the ladies room to see if I looked alright for lunch with Adam Brown. I fixed my hair and redid my mascara. I put some perfume on and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked okay. Not great. Just okay. Adam Brown liked okay me.
I was in dark blue tights and a cream sweater with my hair up and combat boots again. I love combat boots.
I decided to avoid the cheer squad as if they caught me, I'd be interrogated with questions regarding why I weren't sitting with them for lunch today. I would much rather not be put in that spot.
I left the school and walked to the parking lot. I texted Adam Brown to let me know the address.
As I was walking to my car, I heard a buzz about a fight. As cliché as it may be, the jocks from my school would always pick on the physically weak. I walked towards this alleged fight to see who the poor victim was.
It was that lanky, pale boy with the British accent. Then I realised it was Adam Brown's friend Shei. Kyle and his chums had given him a black eye. Then everything was a blur.
Next thing I knew, Adam Brown emerged from the crowd and punched Kyle so hard that he grabbed his face and fell on the ground. The entire crowd was in shock as was I.
Adam Brown helped Shei up and quietly left without even noticing me as he walked past me.
I could forget lunch. But I could never forget that day when everybody saw Adam Brown for who he was.
Strong.

Sorry I haven't updated in eleven days. I swear I'll write proper chapters soon. I'm really tied down at the moment. :c
Tell me what you think about Shei.
