Sylver smiled. Adam was at his record player, looking for the perfect song. Sylver just enjoyed staring at him. To watch him in his natural state. The way his eyebrows quivered in deep thought. The way his back slouched when he suffered a mini defeat. The way he spoke to himself when he was desperately looking for something. She knew. She noticed him. She couldn't help but notice him. And his little things. Adam had a good personality, yes. But he was a full person. With thoughts and parts and ideas and he was a constellation. She always stated at him in awe.
"I know you do that," she said.
He turned around. "Do what?" He looked a tad bit disorientated.
"How you talk to yourself when you're looking for something."
"I don't!" he protested.
She laughed and signalled him to come to her. He walked to her and went closer to her face. "Yes?"
She touched his face and looked at his cheeks. She traced her fingers on his cheekbones and booped his nose which made him shut his eyes and clench his face which bore his dimples.
"You're a beautiful mess."
He climbed into the sofa and held her.
"You're a catastrophe."
"Am I?"
"The best catastrophe that ever reigned this earth."
She kissed him and he kissed her and they lay there for the longest moment and they wished this was forever. That they were forever, that they can stay in this position, in each other's arms, warming each other with their kisses forever. Sylver lay her head on his chest and took a long breath in.
"What are we doing, Adam?"
He started to smoothen her hair gently. "We're kissing."
"Adam."
"We're kissing."
"We're crazy."
She felt him smile.
"We're crazy," she whispered to his chest and he tightened his embrace.
