It had been two days since they had spotted Willa and there had been nothing since. They let the other Bat-Family members know about what they had found about The Clan. With histories working with different organizations throughout Gotham it worried them what access these people had.

As they were leaving for patrol he was again stuck with Tim for their routes. Everyone noticed how on edge Damian was about the whole thing and they could all tell he was holding bits of information back from everyone.

"So, who was Willa to you?" Tim broke the silence. "She must've been important to be holding back information?" he circled around Damian as he remained still. "Was she something the league created? For you? Or was she someone you couldn't kill?"

You couldn't see it be he tensed more of course they noticed. Nothing put him on edge like Willa and The Clan did. "It's none of your concern" he brushed him off "We have routes to continue unless you want to stay here and stand like an idiot." With that, he left onto the next building continuing the search.

Austin hated the idea of Willa being out alone. The deal formed clearly established he stayed home and planned out while she went out and got what they needed. Why? It was absolutely stupid. "I can help" he mumbled as he mapped out which routes she had to take to not be seen tonight. Three stops as many files as she could find.

"Stay here and don't do anything stupid" Willa spoke as she stepped into the room.

"I'm not stupid"

"Debatable"

He scoffed and she looked at the map set out on the table. Three stops tonight. Only Three.

"Stay safe" he looked up to her and handed her a small blade with his blood on the edge. It was a drastic measure but she knew it could be useful his touch could kill; his blood would burn you from inside out.

"I'll try" with that she walked out the door and climbed to the rooftop jumping from building to building.

Her stops were Winston Rewards, Winston Dig, and Winston State. Talk about an ego. It was relatively easy the security was simply something she'd been trained for. By the last building, it was 2 in the morning and she was ready to be home and get the work over with.

She saved the last files and stuck the drive in her pocket setting everything back in its original place and proceeded to the window.

The silence was absolutely boring. Tim had a thousand questions that Damian would probably not answer. And he needed answers there were things that didn't make sense. Why did he get so scared? How did they stay off the radar for so long? Who is leading them? Why were they in Gotham? How did they get abilities? What were their abilities? Who trained them? With it being a calm moment he could no longer hold back.

"How did you know who The Clan was?" He finally asked.

Damian's mind was running a mile a minute. There were a thousand answers he could give but he knew eventually the truth would come out.

"When I was younger the Leauge and Clan were associates" he looked down at his feet and turned to observe the surrounding areas looking anywhere but Tim afraid that his eyes would betray him.

"They would bring in some of their soldiers to show the progress but, they were reckless. These kids younger than me or older knew what it was like to be out in the real world and they wanted that life so sometimes they would get a little out of control" He started pacing around the rooftop

"One day while presenting their abilities one got angry and set off too much power." He looked Tim in the eyes "She died and killed everyone in the room. From then on they stopped working with each other they were unreliable there was no room for that in the league." He jumped to the next building Tim not far behind.

"Why did you think they were dead?" Tim pushed on

"About two years ago I went searching for them. When I got there the building was destroyed it had been blown up there were no survivors and I remembered something Willa had said to me." he hesitated for a moment "she told me once 'I would rather die trying to be free than live to become the monster they desire' she hated that life. So, why is she still working for them?"

Damian hated not knowing what truly happened but what he hated most of all is watching her become the monster she hated; the monster he was.

"I don't think she could've survived that explosion" he spoke "There's no way-" and before he could continue he observed someone looking out of the window opposite to the building they were in. "Red" and with that Damian pulled out his grappling hook to the next building while the girl jumped out. He missed her by a second and looked down in fear as she fell down. But she never fell; she grabbed onto the final railing and hopped off with a bag in her hand.

He looked at her and instantly recognized her. At that moment she turned to see who it was and she ran. As she ran Damian began chasing her taking twists around alleyways and jumping fences without any hesitance she was better than he remembered. But this time he wasn't letting her escape and he ran faster wondering where Tim had disappeared to.

As soon as they rounded the next corner a figure tackled her from the front stopping her. She punched Tim in the gut and was about to run off when suddenly he spoke up "Willa" and she froze for a moment in fear recognizing the voice immediately. The one friend she enjoyed being around back in those days. It seemed too good to be true.

"Ah Guhl" she nodded and raised her hand in his direction. He began to nod off and began falling out of consciousness. "Don't look for me" was the last thing he heard as he fell to the ground.

Tim moved in panic; the girl recognized Damian and he'd passed out. Damian never passes out. He called out in the comms "Robin's down I need medical assistance" and watched as the girl's figure disappeared.
