The meeting dragged on for a while

The meeting dragged on for a while. There was information shared but, of course, there were secrets kept, like their specific powers, escape, history, and who else was out. Of course, they wouldn't give up their people, their family: Maeko, Nakia, Nestor, and Dillion, They didn't need their lives interrupted. They would take care of this problem alone. Obviously, they knew more about the bats than they knew of the clan because they were practically ghosts, a fake story, there was nothing they could do to find them without their help.

"What else are you hiding" that finally broke Willa's silence. Bruce's words were idiotic at least.

"Are we revealing everything?" she smirked "Would you like to know what I had for breakfast? As far as we're worried that's all you need to know. You don't seem to be sharing all your information either. So, what are you asking?"

"How are you retrieving your information?" he stared her down. They were all well coordinated with each other and each had a response prepared for everything.

"Different ways depending on what we need" Alastor interrupted "Infultatrion, Hacking, the occasional flirting"

"What information do you have on the people here in Gotham?'

"That depends on what you plan to do with our information." Alastor sat up straighter if possible "Were not risking our mission for your rules or limits. I would like to finally get to the point of this meeting. You know what we want to do. Get rid of the Clan. We want our justice. So let's stop dancing around the idea"

"What do you want from us" interrupted Willa. She was tired of having to dumb things down for the bats and she could feel Raven and Althea trying to tap or feel their energies. "And would you stop trying to get our energies? Both have you have been trying for the two hours we've been here and aren't even close. Would you stop it slightly annoying"

With that, the energies slipped back and they left them alone. Tim looked shocked and Damian had a look that said I told you so. There was no way they'd break her barriers with that magic and calmness. They'd have to break her to get her to free their minds.

"Let's work together." Damian stepped forward "We share our resources, you share your information. We work together and help each other out. We dismantle the Clan and we'll establish what we do once we get closer"

They all shared a look. "Does your Daddy approve?"

Damian stared at Bruce after Alastor's words. They, of course, struck a nerve but at this point, he knew Bruce wouldn't admit it but they needed it. They needed to keep an eye on the clan.

"Yes" he spoke, "You may move your base of operations here or we can rotate back and forth depending on how your information is set"

"We'll find suitable arrangements" with that Hephastos stood from his chair and began to walk whilst Bruce followed. Leaving behind everyone else.

Freya stood and began speaking to Althea and Raven trying to explain why she had kept such a secret. Tim walked back to the computer and Alastor stood to get more tea from Alfred. Willa remained seated gazing around wondering when Damian was either going to leave or come speak to her. She really hoped for both. She feared what would happen if they spoke again, the last time they had seen each other he had let her down. What would he say? What would she say? What does he remember or actually know about the Clan? If he left a part of her would wish he'd stayed and apologized for what he did. She would think he hated her and she didn't want that. Not from Damian.

Her thoughts were interrupted when he sat next to her. It was silent for a few moments before she turned to look at him. Their eyes met and her heart hurt to see him, although to the world her face showed no emotion.

"Willa," he looked at her with fear in his eyes.

"al Ghul" the silence was awkward, to say the least, but neither of them moved from their seats.

"Where have you been?" Damian spoke so quietly and delicately as if she was a bomb about to set off.

"Since you abandoned me? Or since the fall of The Clan?" as if a gun went off those around tuned into the conversation all but Hephastos and Bruce who were deciding how things were done. "I believe since you turned your back on me on my family it doesn't need to be your business."

"Wil-"

"You lost the right to work alongside this family. You did not care for what happened to us. The heir to the throne never cared for his science experiment soldiers." her tone never changed it remained steady not yelling or whispering. Freya was slightly prepared to portal her out if she burst out some power.

"I did not abandon you"

"No, so what do you call leaving us for dead? Or letting them take me back when you could have helped me? Or do heroes pick and chose who they help?"

There was silence for a minute, tension in the air, a million thoughts racing. In all honesty, this was not how either of them imagined reuniting. Willa wanted him to beg for forgiveness to apologize and for him to say he regretted it. He wanted Willa to understand how he regretted what he did and for her to forgive him and at least give him the opportunity to speak.

"Willa we had no plan, we needed to think it through and we ran out of time. You would have tried to think it through al-" before he could finish his explanation her heart snapped more than it had.

"I would have gotten you out the second you asked," she held his gaze "For someone, I care about I would do whatever I could to keep them safe. I would die for those who earned me trust and affection. The years we worked together I would have expected you to realize. I believed we shared that mentality but it seems not, al Guhl"

"I would have come for you," he hesitated "I-"

Before he could continue Bruce and Hephastous had finished their conversation and Hephastous yelled out for Willa.

"Time to go," he nodded at Damian "We'll keep in touch"

With that Freya opened up a mirror portal and they each walked through and vanished. Damian would have wanted to apologize to Willa but he couldn't find the words. There was no explanation he could give her that would satisfy her. He had left her there, he could have helped her escape, there was regret in that decision but it was too late to change it. Only hope for her to eventually understand.

AN: Sorry I've ghosted but I had some issues that needed to be taken care of. Sometimes life doesn't go how I would like but I am getting back on track starting with the Deity Series. I hope you enjoy this update :)
