Eight hours. It took Damian Eight hours to wake up. Tim was terrified. When he called for help Batman showed up and brought them back to the cave. Alfred set up everything and let them know there was nothing wrong with Damian. It was as if he would have fallen asleep. It made no sense to him but he was alive. That's what mattered.
Tim had explained everything to Bruce and the new information Damian had revealed to him.
"I assumed he was holding back." said Bruce "I just didn't think he'd have an emotional attachment to this."
Silence took over. Tim began looking over Trevor Winston, she had been spotted in buildings he owned. Is he her target? What is she looking for? Why Trevor? He started going through the files when a loud gasp was heard from the clinic.
"What happened" demanded Damian when he awoke. He was startled he was just right in front of her. Why am I in the clinic?
"You fainted Damian." He stood up from the bed and disconnected himself from the machines. As he was doing so Bruce walked into the room.
"What are you not telling us?" It left him in shock not expecting him to be here. Not expecting anyone to be there. He wasn't expecting her to be able to do that. Her abilities were witchcraft. He used to hear her mutter or whisper for her spells to work. She needed her spells. How?
"Anything important we need to know?" he sat in the chair in front of Damian "What other abilities does she have?"
Damian wanted to run and hide. This was a part of his life he didn't think he would have to bring back after seeing everything destroyed he thought it was over. That he would never see her again. He allowed himself to grieve and mourn for her; all for her to be back.
"Depends on who else is alive" he walked out into the cave's main area to the computer. He pulled up three photos. Willa: a 15-year-old girl with long blonde hair and brown eyes, Nakian: a 21-year-old woman with short blonde hair and brown eyes, and Hephaestus: a 20-year-old man with short brown hair and brown eyes.
"These are their best assassins" he spoke "The last time I heard about them was three years ago they were on a mission in Metropolis. It was Willa, Nakia, Hephaestus, and another assassin I don't know who. I was tracking them with Jon." He looked over at Bruce "About a year after I had heard they were in Metropolis their mission was over. I figured out where the Clans base was. It was a recon mission then I would come back and get help. To save..them. When I got there it was all destroyed. An explosion with no survivors." He sat in silence for a few moments.
"Willa's ability was Witchcraft. You could hear and notice when she would whisper and mumble spells. Her abilities only stretched that far. Nakia had manipulation of light and Hephaestus was a shapeshifter." he fiddled with the belt of his suit.
"Their powers never develop" he looked back at the pictures "When they do it's not long before they die. When I've seen it, it happens instantly. I don't get how she does it."
The cave sat in silence for a while before Damian walked up to his room. The rest of the night he laid in bed staring at the Katanas he had kept, his and hers wondering if she was the same.
Willa. Powerful. Kind. Passionate. His Childhood best friend.

"Okay so let me get this straight. The richest family in Gotham is also the Batfamily?" Austin said after listening to Willa's encounter with Damian.
"Yes and they probably already know exactly who we are too?" she said "Which means we have to be more careful when going out"
Knock on the door put their conversation on pause. Alastor stood and Willa walked towards the door. The energy on the outside was nervous but it didn't feel like Damian's. She opened the door slowly and peeked out spotting her neighbor's son, Jacob, outside.
"Hey Wendi" she opened the door and signaled to Alastor that it was okay. "Hey Austin"
He stepped in and placed a plastic container on their table. "My mom was worried about you guys and well I brought you some leftovers because you guys are alone- again."
He always asked why they were alone but they never gave him a straight answer. Our parents work the night shift. They just went to the store. They're away on a trip. Of course, he thought it was complete bullshit but he always comes back trying to fit the pieces together.
"Yeah, they're on a work trip." spoke up Alastor "How's school?" Alastor smirked when the boy began to blush not expecting a response from the boy.
"Um- It's- It's been good. Failing Spanish actually. But I'm doing good." he spluttered out nervous.
"You consider failing Spanish good?" spoke up Willa. Jacob looked down and chuckled his hair falling to his brown eyes so he pushed it back.
"I can tutor you. My Spanish is amazing" Alastor spoke up.
"You understand Spanish?"
"Claro que si"
Jacob leaned back onto the table and laughed "When do we start?"
"Mañana a las 4. Cuando termines con las clases." They both smiled at each other while Willa walked to get plates out of the kitchen. Their chat dimed and Jacob excused himself from their home.
"Cute, huh?" Willa smirked in his direction and he just nodded.
"It feels nice to talk to someone and not be controlled"
So they enjoyed their night talking about the new things they love about their freedom. Willa wasted the night thinking about what she was going to do about Damian. Would she kill him if he got in the way? She didn't think she would ever have to see him.
Damian al Ghul. Heir to the Demon. Merciless. Stubborn. Her Childhood best friend.
