It seemed that the instant Remii had arrived on the island, she hadn't quite been able to catch her breath. Whether she was running or fangirling, she was constantly grasping for air. And now, her heart raced for someone else.

As the sun fell behind the waves the next day, another day of vigorous training and sandpeople building passing them by, Fairy's communicator chimed and somehow she and Remii both knew it was Phasma. Finn, though, didn't have a clue. Perhaps it was better that he didn't know, seeing as the tin captain was his ex-boss and all. So, they'd developed a system.

As Fairy quickly scurried into the hut to answer her messages, Remii took to guarding Fairy's door. Not after tripping in all of the excitement and scuffing her face up, of course. This did divert their plan slightly, as Finn approached to help.

"Are you alright?" Finn chuckled, freeing fabric from around his belt to wipe at Remii's face. "What was that all about?"

"Oh, you know me. Sort of. Big 'ol klutz." Remii scrunched her nose as Finn continued to dab at her cheek. Immediately Remii could hear Fairy's voice from inside as she eagerly addressed her girlfriend. Remii hoped Finn wouldn't notice but of course, such was wishful thinking.

"What's she doing in there?"

"Oh," Remii began, racking her brain for possible fibs. She's talking to herself? She's acting out her one-woman play to her robot dog? She's...

"She's speaking to the ghosts of her past...with the Force!" Remii frowned almost in perfect unison with Finn. Would he buy that?

"She can do that?" Finn's eyebrows raised, his head craning past her shoulder at the door. When he looked back at Remii, his eyes were twinkling with childlike wonder. "Can we do that? Maybe she can teach us--"

"No!" Remii startled herself at her volume, lowering into a whisper as she grabbed Finn's shoulders. "No, we can't."

"Why not?"

This, Remii was prepared to answer. "Well, you know how El said you're not supposed to wake someone up from a nightmare back on the Falcon?"

"Yeah?"

"Same goes for Force calls. It's frowned upon if you interrupt Force connections. Especially with ghosts."

"Oh."

"Yeah. So I'll just make sure no one goes in, you go on back to your hut."

Finn eyed Remii curiously though, it seemed he'd bought her story. Besides, it wasn't too messy of a fib, anyway. "Alright." Finn looked at Fairy's hut as he began to slowly stroll off. "Are you sure? I can keep watch for you."

Remii almost panicked but managed to subside it quickly. For once. "Don't worry Finn, I got this."

Finn smiled (with a pinch of lingering suspicion, mind you) as he sent Remii a thumbs up. She sent him one back, pressing her back to the stone wall as she tilted her chin to the skies. Ahch-To nights were tremendously beautiful. Remii had always dreamt of seeing the Star Wars skies and now that she was, especially on a big chunk of rock in the middle of nowhere, the stars seemed to twinkle more brilliantly. Besides, one of those shooting stars could be a major starship.

"What are you doing?"

Again, those four words triggered something immediately, that same vision back on the Falcon. Remii down in the pit, a young dark haired boy peering down at her from the ladder. What are you doing?

Remii flinched, her shoulders jolting as her eyes found him. Ben stood there in the deepening darkness, his cloak blending into the shadows. Like some sort of anti-ghost. Remii recollected on his technique, quickly pressing her hand to her chest before returning it to the wall behind her. "Guarding," she whispered.
