Christmas special, fluff galore.
__It was okay now.
Things seemed to have cooled down. "Sabre.. Your stomach is.. Making noises again. Are you hungry?" The little human nodded, feeling relieved.
Rainbow Steve chuckled, sitting up from the couch, but stopped and stared at the window blankly.
Sabre stood up as well, following Rainbow's gaze nervously.
Small white specks fell from the sky, snow!!
Sabre's eyes lit up at the wonderful sight.
He quickly ran towards the door but he was picked up before his hand could reach the knob.
"Sabre what are you doing??
You have no idea what it could do to you! The grass hurt you, the sky hurt you, some of the food made you sick—"
"Its snow! Lemme try!!"
"No, Sabre.. I'll see okay?"
The colorful skyscraper placed Sabre on his feet, going outside.
He breathed in the crisp, cold winter air, blinking in disbelief. He looked over at Sabre worriedly, before motioning his fingers, come.
Sabre smiled in excitement, stepping out onto the balcony.
The cold little flakes fell onto his jacket and skin, he shivered, but giggled happily.
"So I can play?"
"Not just yet.. There is hardly any on the ground. While we wait, I'll cook you something."
They returned into the warmth of the house and Sabre sat by the fireplace, shaking off the cold, while Rainbow Steve made some mac&cheese with goat milk that had been collected awhile back, along with some butter beans and three slices of pork.
Sabre loved Rainbow's cooking, and he'd just been improving with his own as well.
It was served to him in a wooden bowl, while the meat and beans were put on a board.
Sabre took extreme enjoyment in the rich savory flavor of the cheese, practically making him melt.
He continued along with the meat and beans.
He rubbed his stomach and licked his lips, hugging Rainbow and thanking him for the food.
The little human really couldn't thank him enough, for taking him in and all. He would've died out there for sure, not all of the Steves were as kind..
Sabre shuddered at the memory, tracing his hand lightly over the scar on his face.
"Are you alright, Sabre?"
"Yeah.. I'm okay.
Can we play in the snow now?"
"You'll get sick doing so much after eating. Stay inside for a little longer.. Let me.. Hold you maybe? We haven't cuddled in awhile and you seemed to enjoy it last time we did."
The little human thought for a moment, before agreeing.
His body was wrapped up in the arms of the colorful skyscraper, truly a lovely feeling to experience. So warm and safe. Rainbow Steve held Sabre close, his thoughts racing. Before he'd picked Sabre up, something new rose from ground. It was chasing them, catching up, fast.
He cradled the human nervously, biting his lip as he thought deeply.
"Rainbow?.." "Yes Sabre?"
"Its snowing alot now."
Rainbow looked out the window, and smiled at the pure white ground, only small strands of grass were visible now.
"Get dressed, I'll meet you out there."
Sabre giggled in excitement, practically leaping out of his larger friend's embrace.
He ran to his room, over dressing himself with two grey and orange sweaters, thick dark blue pants, and a yellow scarf.
He looked so tacky, but so cute.
He topped it all off with a black hat and some green mittens, and ran back to Rainbow.[ I drew smol winter boi ]
Rainbow chuckled at the sight, Sabre looked so strange in all these colors.
"Onward!!" Sabre shouted, running for the door like a child ready for presents on Christmas. Not that the Steves knew of its existence.
Sabre ran out the door and Rainbow joined shorty after, only to see Sabre had gone on a snow angel spree.
He picked up some snow and formed it into a ball, throwing it at the skyscraper's feet.
Rainbow took a step back, startled, before he smirked and made a larger snow ball.
Sabre was covered, he had no chance against his opponent, but he refused to back down.
He rolled out from underneath all the snow, dodging his enemy's attacks. He made several of the small weapons, throwing them at the other.
This battle went on for a few more minutes, before Sabre fell on his face, exhausted.
Rainbow chuckled, "Did I win?"
He said in a giggly tone, not even winded.
"Thats not fairrrr!"
Sabre whined, his head resurfacing from the snow.
Rainbow helped him up, "Come on, let's build a snow man after you catch your breath, how's that sound?"
Sabre smiled, nodding.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
