Sabre slowly opened his eyes, but immediately closed them once they adjusted to his new surroundings.
It was terrifying. The sky was constantly changing, seeming to zoom in and out on spiraling colors.
The grass was sharp and Sabre was barefoot. His cheek had a small slice on it that was still bleeding.
His heart pounded in fear as he tried to stand up. He winced as he got to his feet, bent over and gripping his knees tightly. His breath was rapid and heavy and his body was stiff like he had been unconscious for hours.
His mind, once again racing.
Where was he? Why was he here? What the fuck was that sound?
He looked over his shoulder slowly as he hear a deep growl from behind him. He opened his eyes for a split second, and immediately began to run in the opposite direction.
The creature was tall, covered with thick tar like black liquid.
The creature was humanoid for sure how ever, as it may have had long jagged claws extending from its large hands, it had normal hair.
Orange hair. The creature had bloodshot eyes like it had been awake for days on end, or just had been crying for a long time.
Sabre heard the growl fade to a saddened grumble as he continued to run across that sharp blade like grass that sliced and diced his feet. Once he felt like he had run far enough, he opened his eyes again for a second. He was right next to a tree. The tree's bark was charred and it had no leaves, a semi flat a large rock beside it. He sat on the rock, putting his sore and bleeding feet up on it as well.
He tried his best to calm his breathing, slowly drifting off into unconscious. But before he reached the dream stage, the deafening silence was interrupted by Sabre being grabbed from behind. Snarles and growls filled his ears and he screamed. His mouth was quickly cover, the left side of his face being torn into. The agonizing pain causing Sabre to open his eyes for another split second. Sharp.. Sharp teeth.
He was about to be eaten!!
He forced all of his strength into his legs, kicking the creature off of him.
He began to run again.
His heart pounding in his chest.
Sabre was having a harder and harder time breathing with each step he took. He felt like he was going to die. That when he ran into someone.
Sabre fell to the ground on impact, the blade like grass slicing through his chicken onsie and through his skin. Sabre screamed from the penetration.
He didn't want to open his eyes. He squirmed, trying to get up, but something was holding him down.
A force of some kind. He felt a claw trace the undamaged side of his face lightly, the creature continued to stroke Sabre's cheek gently.
He eventually relaxed a bit, enough for his heart to go back to its normal beat, as well as his breathing.
He felt large and strong arms go around him, freeing him of the sharp plant life. He was now being carried.
He didn't dare move a muscle, to scared of what the creature would do.
Sabre was weak and tired. He was in pain, hurt.
He tilted his head to the side a bit,
Leaning it against the creature's chest. He fell asleep quicker than expected, and was carried to an unknown area.
