[Warning ⚠️]
Sabre felt a small wave of heat press against his face momentarily,
and he opened his eyes, keeping them open now realizing they were inside,
the horrific sky no longer visible to his sore eyes. There wasn't much to the small house, just alot of boxes and books piled up. Pens and pencils scattered around. Nothing but a candle, lighting the room. "I apologize for the inconvenience, I did not expect such a presence to come to my kingdom.."
The Yellow King spoke softly, tiredness audible from his voice as he sat in his throne in front of a small, and oddly organized desk. Orange Steve sat Sabre down on a chair, a ripped pillow being the only thing protecting him from the splinters of the dark, old wooden chair. Sabre kept his hands in his lap, Orange Steve sitting on the bigger chair next to him. "Its okay sir.. But.. What do you mean? By 'such a presence?'.."
Sabre questioned, looking up into the bloodshot eyes of the Yellow King.
"Oh.. Dear child, you have no idea how big your importance is in this world.. You see, the darkness which as gotten to us all is slowly driving us to the edge of our sanity,
we have given up on the hero, and we have turned to our old Savage ways." Sabre flinched at his words,
"Wh..what... I.. I'm sorry.."
He didn't know what to say or what to do. "Let me see your hands.. Put them in mine... Let me see them...."
Sabre held back a look of fear,
and just complyed after seeing Orange Steve nod. He adjusted his shoulders uncomfortably as the Yellow King stroked his talons lightly against the palm of his hands. Sabre's hands were so small compared to these creatures' hands, it scared him. Sabre yelped as the Yellow King continued to drag his long dry claws up his arms, making him shiver. "So.. so pure...."
"I have no clue what is happening right now I just want to go home.."
Sabre choked out, looking over at Orange Steve who was glaring at the Yellow King. His expression softened at Sabre's desperate tone, and spoke up.
"Sir, I think that's enough."
"You just want him for yourself don't you? You selfish peice of shit-"
Sabre whimpered helplessly as the King dug his nails into Sabre's small and frail arms. "You're hurting him! S-sir!"
Sabre managed to break free of the Yellow King's grasp, his bleeding arms quickly pulling to his chest.
He shivered and shaked, his eyes watering from the pain.
The King got up and stared menacingly
at Orange Steve. Before He jumped onto his desk and threw himself onto Orange Steve. Sabre wanted to help, but he knew he'd only get in the way, so Sabre prayed to whatever God may be out there, that Orange Steve will be okay, as he ran down the stairs he had previously just noticed. His heart pounding in his chest, his blood spilling everywhere.
He heard a nearby growl and booked it.
Sabre locked himself in a random room and hoped that it would stay in place.
He saw a few lockers and a sink.
He stepped slowly to it, and couldn't keep it in anymore. He puked into the sink, tears flowing freely down his face as his throat burned from his stomach acid. Small peices of unappetized apple peelings splattered directly into the now dirtier drain. Sabre coughed, gasping for air. Thankfully the mess didn't get on his clothes, but now his breath was stained with it.
So much stress...
Sabre calmed his breathing, before the last of his lunch spilled from his mouth.
He wiped it off with a dusty towl, and hid quickly into the locker.
He left safer, yet was still shaking violently.
.........~
It had been two hours now..
Sabre's throat was extremely dry and he felt tired. He heard a distant crash and a distorted wail before he heard the bathroom door break open.
Sabre held his breath.
Closing his eyes tightly.
The lockers were be being opened...
One.. by.... one......
Light hit his eye lids and he opened his eyes. Orange Steve... He was really hurt,
an eye scratched out and his chest horribly torn into. Sabre nearly winced at the sight. "Orange Steve...?.. Are you alright?" "Its fine Sabre. Its just a scratch." Sabre scoffed at Orange Steve's response. "As if. You're hurt!"
Sabre's legs shaked at he stood up and tried to cover the wounds with the towls, not using the one he used to wipe his mouth of course. The creature only chuckled, patting him on the head in appreciation. "Oh you're to precious.. But I'm just fine, it barely even hurts." The orange haired being reassured. Sabre grumbled in frustration as Orange Steve picked him up, carrying him back upstairs.
Sabre closed his eyes before he could witness the horrific sky.
But the gorey sight before it, was bad enough. The King looked to be dead, his arms brutally torn off, as well as his legs. Sabre shivered, trying to sleep off the pain off his sore and aching body.
"Thank you Orange Steve.."
"For what?"
"Protecting me.."
"... Heh.. You're welcome Sabre."....
