CHAPTER 02

After I left the cafeteria, I went to my hotel to change and I went to the hotel bar after that. I ordered a shorts of tequila and a vodka tonic. When I'm waiting for my drinks, someone sat beside me on the empty barstool. At first I didn't look at the occupant, but when he ordered his drink I looked up and saw the man staring at my way. " Hello to see you again Mededith" he said. "It's nice to see you too, Nick Marsh" I said. "So what brought you here?" he asked. I'm here for work, what about you ?" I said. "You know I work here in the hospital. So you are working with Hamilton?" he asked. "I don't know yet if I have to make that decision by tomorrow", I said. He smiled. Our drinks arrived. I took a sip and looked at Nick and caught him watching me the whole time. There was something in his eyes then the question finally came out of his mouth "So what's going on in your life is dating someone?" he said. The question caught me off guard. "yes" I said. But the truth is I'm not dating anyone at the moment. Suddenly I said "no I'm not dating anyone and I don't know why I said that." He grinned. I think I know what's coming next and it's making me anxious. "O really that's good to know" he said with a smirk. I giggle. "So Dr.Grey do you want to go on a date with me ?"he asked. "I don't think it's a good idea Dr.Marsh because I'm going home tomorrow and I don't know what I'm going to do about the project," I said. "We will see about that" he said. We chatted a little bit about our lives. We finished our drink. Nick is looking at me again then it came out of my mouth "I should go to my room. I'm a little bit tired from the journey. Goodnight Nick". "Goodnight Meredith. It's nice to meet you again and I hope you will accept my offer. This is my number call me if you change your mind" he left me with the card. I went to my room and called the kids to say goodbye. And went to bed thinking about what I'm going to do tomorrow and it occurred to me that I know from the start what I am going to do.

3rd pov:

Meredith went to a deep slumber not knowing what was waiting for her in the next step of her life. She doesn't know that someone very close to her heart is out there working day and night to find her again.
