CHAPTER 05

MOV:

It’s been almost a week and now I’m getting ready to go to Minnesota. I’ve few problems with Bailey. She tried to guilt trip me about this, but now we are okay. Also, I’ve to step down from the residency director position. It’s back to Richard again. The good news is I’m still the Chief of General Surgery. My kids had no problem with my arrangement. Now I’ve only one thing to do before I fly out there the next evening.

AOV:

So scout is  doing great, but with Link things are occurred after I rejected him to marry me. I am avoiding plague. But today we had a serious talk about this and I don’t want to marry not only him but anyone. But I didn’t understand he was angry with me. I hope we will be friends again after all the anger is gone because to have a co-parent scout and not me or link wants him to grow in a broken house, so we have to settle this issue. Maybe tomorrow I will try to talk to him. After I dropped Mer to the airport, “Hey Amelia” I was startled.

“Oh, are you okay? You know you can talk to me about anything. I know I’m a little busy these past few weeks. but I always have time for my family, "Mer said.

“No, I’m fine”. I said, She is staring at me now.

“I know what fine means Amelia. So just out with it”. She said,
I thought about it then I said “it’s about link, you know the ‘Marry me’ thing. He is still upset about it. We talked today and he is angry that I don’t want to marry him again”. She said softly “I think you already know what you want, so just go with your thoughts. Try to talk to him again and make you understand your concerns about why you don’t want to marry. It will be okay. Okay? " Okay ” I said. Mov: we sat in the living room silently after the conversation. I don’t know if it’s a good time to speak to her about this, but I don’t have too much time left. So I mentioned “Amelia I actually have to talk with you about something important about my project” she just nodded. “Okay, so I wanted to ask you about this for a long time, but I don’t know if you will want to do this or not. I know it’s not a good time you are going through so much stuff right now. I don’t want to bother you. So if you don't, then it will be okay. I will—“ Mer stop rambling, just say what you want” she said. “So the thing is, do you want to work on this project with me? We need a neurosurgeon and you are one of the best after Derek, so will you join my team to cure Parkinson's?” I said. She is looking at me shocked. Okay, I will be on your team. So do I have to join you tomorrow or next weekend? She asked. Tomorrow will be good. We will discuss the project tomorrow thoroughly. I mentioned. “Okay, so I’ve to call Bailey and clear it with her”she said. I think Bailey is going to kill me after that, I said. We laughed together. She left the room to settle down the situation with Bailey.
3rd pov:
Meredith is sitting alone and thinking about her life. If Derek was alive, he would be so proud of her for this project. He will tell everyone about it. After all this time, Derek is the one. She can’t forget about him when she is doing something exciting. Her thought moved to nick. He wanted to date her after Decula died and the incident with Hayes children. She had not thought about dating. Maybe she should go back to the dating pool again. When her mind was full of so many thoughts, she didn’t hear Amelia enter the room.

AOV:

Mer? I asked.

She didn’t reply to Mer. I said loudly.

“Yes yes, what happened? She was startled.
“Bailey approved my proposal” I said.

" Oh, that’s good." She said
absentmindedly .

She said “Good night” and left the room. I don’t know what happened, but she seems tense. Maybe it’s about the project.

After that, Amelia went to bed. Everyone has their own thoughts and conflicts. Slowly they fell asleep on a new day to look forward.
