Unfamiliar, rare and strange, but marvelous

I was having a mental debt on whether or not I need a phone. I have no use of phone but to blend in at the school- not that people notice me or anything - i would need one. Plus I wanted to check out the place, in case of emergency.
I was just around 3 in the afternoon, i have been laying in the bed for a hour and i am bored. I got up and walked downstairs after getting changed into the jeans and the striped top I was wearing in the morning and a jacket. I walked to my black SUV.
I drove around aimlessly for a few minutes, i was impressed with myself at how well I'm able to drive. I can still remember the fors car i drove, that was my father's which i took when I was running away. The car was completely burnt to ashes.
Silas.
I parked my car at the parking lot of the mall and walked in. I had my credit card in my pocket along with some cash. I walked around the mall, observing all the things that was happening around me.
I turned right around the corner and was bumped into a wall. I frowned a wall? A hand came caught my arms, making me flinch at the touch.
I backed away and looked at the guy more like a giant, standing infront of me. He was at least a head and a half taller than Gabriel. His hair was a deep black, shining with a light behind him reflecting on it. His eyes were a deep brown, almost black. His jaw was firm, squared. His muscles under his black Red Sox t-shirt were prominent. Even his dark blue Levis looked bulky at the thighs. He was raw power.
I blinked as i stared at him speechlessly.
"Hey. You okay?" His voice was deep, nearly reverberating through me.
"Yes." I said. "I'm sorry. Sorry for bumping into you." I noticed that he had an European accent and i quickly browsed through my head and found that it was Greek language. His features too were striking. Soulful deep eyes and an olive complexion
"It's okay." He said, I dont think he was doing it knowingly but the way he peered down at me, made me feel so small.
I nodded as i sidestepped him and walked away towards the shop that was selling smart phone.
After buying a smart phone, i was heading to go look for food but a bookstore in the corner got my attention. I loved reading and without a second guessing i walked into the store.
Kota.
I glanced at the novels on the rack infront of the window and then slowly moved to other racks where the fictions where kept.
I lost myself in the shelves, checking for the fiction section and then noting the authors and cover styles of the novels. That i didn't notice the new guy untill he spoke.
"Is it grouped by genre?" he said making me jump.
The guy was wearing black-rimmed glasses that hid the sparking green eyes and almost hid his high cheekbones. He had light brown hair. If I had to guess his age, he might have been a couple years older than I was, if that. He was a head taller than I was, with a medium build and his skin was fair. The way his thin brows angled at the edges made him look curious and constantly interested.
He was wearing a jeans and hunter green tshirt that had a Nike swoosh mark and his black Converse shoes looked brand new. If my older sister would have seen him, she would have told me he was a nerd right off.
She may have missed the way he was standing upright, shoulders back, with a cool confidence.
I knelt, looking at a few titles I recognized in the shelf. "It's kind of mixed up. I think these are more horror but they've lumped them with general fiction."
He looked over my head to check out what I was pointing to. He put his hand on my shoulder. It seemed such a casual touch, again something I'd seen other people do or read about. I barley held my flinch and hoped he hadn't noticed it.
He seemed to do it without thinking and yet my mind was filled for the moment with nothing but the warmth of his fingers. He was so close that I could smell the sweet spice of his cologne. I felt my body tingling. It felt so intimate to me.
"I'm Dakota by the way. You can call me Kota." He said, lifting his hands. I shook his hands i was about to say Sang Sorenson when I remember that i was Athena Sky now.
"Athena Sky." I said and turned back to the bookshelf. Again hoping that he didn't catch up on the lie
"So do you like horror?" Kota asked.
"Not spooky. More psychologically scary. Something a little bit smarter than a guy with a knife hiding behind a wall."
"You like smart killers?"
"I like figuring out the best way to handle bad situations," I said, although after the words slipped from my mouth, I realized it sounded weird.
When I looked back at him, a grin slipped away from his face. "What else do you like?"
I bit my lips looking at the shelf again. What is with a the guys I meet today. It's like everywhere i turn there's a handsome guy.
"I don't know. Based on my mood, Mystery, Sci-fi..."
His head tilted. "Classics?"
"British, preferably. Sherlock Holmes or King Arthur. Although I did like Gone with the Wind."
I smiling, finally finding someone who had some interest in books. He opened his mouth to speak when a same voice with heavy Greek accent spoke from my back.
"Kota, are you done?" He asked. "I hate small spaces." He mumbled, I don't think he meant for me to hear it.
I turned to look at the guy who i had bumped into. He looked taken aback when he saw me. Then he looked at kota.
I stood up feeling awkward. I was about to move away when kota spoke, "Athena, this is Silas. Silas, this is Athena." He said.
"Nice to meet you." He said his words dripping with Greek accent.
"Are you from Greece?" Shit! I didn't mean to ask that.
Silas raised an eyebrow as he said, "Ξέρετε Ελληνικά" (Do you know Greek?)
"ναι ξέρω"(yes i do.) I said in Greek.
His eyes glinted when I spoke in Greek as if he didn't expect me to know Greek.
I turned to kota, with a small smile as i said, "It was nice meeting you. But i gotta go now." I said looking at Silas.
The two shared a silent look between them and Kota asked, "We were going to get something to eat, maybe you could join us."
I looked at them, i wanted to but I didn't want to force myself on them. I don't even understand why they want to hang out with somebody like me.
"Come on it will be fun." Silas said. I hesitated for a second then nodded. Well, What could possibly go wrong.
