First thing you noticed is a man in a lab coat with a shotgun pointed at all of you.

"Anyone bit?"

"There was one in the group, but he's gone." Rick said.

"What do you want?"

"A chance. That's all."

The man was silent, but put down the gun.

"A blood test is the admission to be here. Dr. Edwin Jener."

"Rick."

You all got into an elevator, taking you to a different floor. Daryl had his hands around you as you were in front of him.

"So do you always carry heat like that?" Daryl asked.

"It was just laying on the ground so I familiarized myself with it." Edwin said "But you all look harmless enough, but you. I'm gonna have to keep my eye on you."

Carl laughed at that. It wasn't long until you reached what looked like a lab. Edwin had started out with the test and it didn't take long. Andrea was the last one to finish, but she almost fainted when getting up.

"Is she alright?" Edwin asked.

"She hasn't eaten in a few days, none of us has." Jaqui said.

Edwin brought everyone into the kitchen, Carol and T-dog helped Edwin in making dinner. You and Daryl went to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of wine.

"We hit the jackpot!" You said raising the bottle.

Claps were heard as you two pulled more out. Daryl didn't waste any time popping it open and drinking, handing you the bottle as well. It wasn't long until the food was done. It was spaghetti, which no one was gonna turn down.

Everyone began to dig in, you and Daryl ate on the counter cause there weren't any more chairs. The food was soon consumed by you both in an instant. Dale convinced Lori to give Carl some wine, which he did not like. Daryl made fun of Glenn and had him keep drinking, you noticed Edwin was just staring, thinking about something.

Edwin had shown where you all were gonna sleep the night. He had also mentioned hot water which all of you took advantage of. Daryl wasn't in the room when you had gotten out of the shower. So you made your way to the wreck room, opening the door you see Shane and Lori, but it looked more like Shane on top of Lori. Lori had ended up scratching Shane and pushing him off. Shane's head was to you, eyes connected.

You ran out of the room, but it didn't matter as you were thrown into the wall.

"What did you see?" Shane asked.

"Enough." You said "Now I would suggest letting me go."

"Or what. I don't care if you are Daryl's gal, you best not say nothing." Shane said, letting you go.

You ran straight back to the room, when you got there Daryl was drinking another bottle.

"Really, aren't you drunk enough?" You asked, snatching the bottle "At least share."

Daryl smirked as you took a swig.

"You know, when I went with Merle to Atlanta. I was helping sell some parts, with the money I got I bought you something." Daryl said pulling something out of his jeans "Something to show that you're mine."

In his fingers was a ring, you stared at it. Your eyes wid and feeling with tears.

"Not really an ideal place." Daryl said, taking his hand in yours "But would you wanna marry me?"

You just nodded over and over pulling him into a hug and kissing him. Daryl put the ring on your finger and you resumed the hugging.

Waking up you put clothes on and made your way to the kitchen. T-Dog was making breakfast for everyone. Glenn looked like he was gonna pass out.

"Don't ever, ever let me drink again." Glenn said "Ever."

"No problem Glenn." You said, patting his shoulder.

"These eggs will help, a secret recipe for hangovers." T-Dog said, putting them on Glenns plate "Protein."

You shook your head and went straight for the coffee. Andrea noticed the ring on your finger.

"Y/n, you didn't have that ring before." Andrea said "Did Daryl propose to you?"

"Yep, he was gonna do it before the world died." You said, showing it off "But last night was still the best night of my life."

"Well congratulations." Dale said "Do we call you Y/n Dixion now?"

"I guess so." You said, as Daryl walked in.

"You guess. I'll just take the ring back then." Daryl said, reaching for your hand.

"No, it's mine." You said, hiding your left hand "No take backs."

"Fine." Daryl said, taking your mug and drinking the coffee.

It was supposed to be a good day. But you all found out that when the timer finishes all the power shuts down. Rick, Glenn, Shane, and T-Dog went to check on the fuel, when everything started shutting down.

Everyone follows Edwin into the lab, the timer has 28 minutes left. Edwin explained what would happen when the clock reaches 0. Everyone tries to get out of the lab, but the door closed.

"He locked us in." Glenn said.

"Open the door!" Daryl shouted.

"I can't, only the computer can." Edwin said "Besides there's nothing out there."

"That does not give you the right to lock us in here." You said.

"You people don't get it, out there. All there is, is misery and death. Agonizing death. Is that what you want?!" Edwin said "In here, it's only a second. No pain, quick and simple."

"Daryl!" Shane yelled, throwing an ax at him.

You looked at everyone, Lori and Carol holding their children. Fear was on everyone's face, but Andrea and Jaqui. You passed Edwin and looked at the computer that he controlled, then looked straight at him.

"You can't just decide to play god. This isn't your call, what about your wife. Do you honestly believe that she wants this.?" You said "Don't be the coward that drags everyone down."

Edwin looked at you, taking in the words. He sighed before swiping his key card, the doors opened instantly. No one wasted any time leaving, you thanked Edwin before running out. Grabbing onto Daryl's hand has you ran. At the entrance Daryl and T-Dog tried breaking the glass with axes, but they wouldn't break. Shane's shotgun didn't break either.

But Carol pulled out a grenade and handed it to Rick. Daryl wasted no time moving out of the way and putting you out of the with his body shielding yours. In an instant an explosion happened breaking the glass. You all left as soon as you could, you didn't even notice that a few people left. You made it into Daryl's truck, getting and hiding in it. The truck rattled and shook as the CDC exploded.

You got up and looked to see Andrea and Dale go into the RV. Daryl started up the truck and left, everyone was trailing behind.
