You and Daryl laid in the tent. You wanted to be back as soon as possible, you couldn't stand being in the house. Looking over you see him poking holes into the screen with his arrow.

"Stop that, you'll let the bugs in." You said.

"So." Daryl said.

"So, I don't want to wake up to bugs." You said, swatting his hand "So knock it off."

Daryl stopped and sighed. He looked at you, with a smile on his lips.

"I wanna marry you." Daryl said "I wanted you to have the wedding you wanted, meet your dad then. Not like this."

"I know, but this is our life now." Y/n said "And I'm alright with it. Dad can marry us, he has a license for it."

"You want a ceremony and be wedded while being watched by the group?" Daryl asked, you nodded "Alright, let's do it."

"Now we just need to get you a ring." You said.

Daryl pulled out his pocket and there was a black ring.

"Got it covered." Daryl said "Had it all figured out."

"Look at you, being smart." You said, laughing.

He pushed your shoulder. You took the ring from him and put it on his finger, making sure it fits.

"So when do you wanna do it?" You asked.

"We can ask Hershel and see." Daryl said.

You nodded, you knew he didn't want you out yet. He didn't even want you to get up and stretch, but you've convinced him to. As long as he was around. So you two got up and went to the camp.

"How are you feeling?" Lori asked.

"We're doing good." You said "We're gonna ask my dad something."

"Alright, Herschel is in the house." Lori said, helping Carol "Dinner will be done soon."

You nodded and went straight for the house. You found him along with Patricia in the kitchen, he smiled.

"Glad to see you on your feet." Herschel said "Need something?"

"I was wondering if you could marry us?" You asked "We talked about doing it here, at the farm."

"Oh I think that's a wonderful thing." Patricia said "I know it's not the best circumstances, but I think there's a wedding dress."

"That was Beth's mom's dress. I'm sure you would look beautiful in it." Herschel said "And I would love to."

"Thank you!" You said, hugging your dad "When should we do it?"

"Me and Maggie, can do a little something. Carol and Lori I'm sure would love to help as well, so whenever it's done." Herschel said "Daryl, I have something that you can wear."

"I'll get Beth to help me with the dress." Patricia said, leaving the kitchen.

"Daryl, you can come with me." Herschel said "Y/n go tell everyone what's happening."

You nodded, leaving with a big smile on your face. Most of the group was up and near the RV.

"Well someone happy." Dale said "Care to tell."

"Yea, Daryl and I are having a 'wedding' on the farm." You told, quoting the wedding part.

"Well that's wonderful." Carol said "You two deserve it for all that you've done."

"So when is this happening?" Lori asked.

"Not sure, dad wanted to do something first. He said that Lori and Carol could help if they wanted to." You said.

"What about us, Mrs. Dixon." Rick said.

"Ask Herschel, I'm sure they have something for you to do." You said "I should go back in, I gotta go try on a dress."

"You look so beautiful Y/N." Beth said "Daryl's gonna love it."

"And it fits perfectly." Patricia said.

You stared at the dress, having it cling to your body. A flash happened, you looked at Maggie, who had a camera.

"I found this in one of the boxes." Maggie said "Absolutely gorgeous."

You took the picture and looked at it.

"I just wanted to tell you that, we might not know each other that well, but you're my sister. And I accept that. Just tell Beth and I and we'll end Daryl if he hurts you." Maggie said.

"Daryl isn't like that, never had been and never will be. He grew up rough, he only does that stuff to protect me." You said "But noted. Now what about you and Glenn?"

A knock was heard before it opened. Herschel walked in, but Maggie's face was red.

"Daryl's clothes are fitted and I have everything done." Herschel said "Even got dinner ready. So we can do this today, got everyone waiting."

"Why not. If Daryl's fine with it, then yea." You said.

"Oh, I'll go get ready." Patricia said "C'mon girls."

With that everyone left, only one in the room is you and Herschel.

"You must really love this man." Herschel said "You do anything for him?"

"I would, he saved my life more times than I could count." You said "You like him right?"

"He's good in my book." Herschel said, holding out his arm.

Taking his in yours, you made your way to the ceremony. You see everyone with a smile and standing on both sides. You couldn't have asked for a better family and friends. You stood right in front of Daryl, who had loving eyes. You took your hands in his, you had the biggest smile on your face. Time seemed to froze, but there's one thing you remember.

"I do."
