He pulls me out of the car and I keep my eyes down, unable to look at him.

"I really am sorry."

"Just save it. It's done, I'm here." I mumble and he sighs. Cloth is placed over my eyes and he pulls my arms behind my back.

I limp along as he pushes me and then we stop. I hear a swish then were walking again. The cloth is pulled from my eyes and I freeze as the old guy stares back at me.

"Very good Jason." He says and the guy behind me releases my arms and pushes me to the ground. I fall to my knees and look up breathing heavily.

"My family?" The guy- Jason asks.

"Take the man to his family!" The old guy shouts and three guards move and lead Jason away.

"Now, aren't you a beauty." I look up at him with a glare and he smirks then laughs looking down at me.

"Get your nasty hands off of me." I spit yanking away from some creep's touch. He presses my neck and I squirm from his touch.

"You're fun."

"Theo remove your hands from the girl." The old guy says and I scoff crossing my arms.

"Yet your grimy hands are about to be all over me." I say and he laughs.

"Let's go." He says and I growl inwardly as the other dude grabs me and practically throws me towards the old man.

"I've been waiting for you my dear."

"So I've heard, what do you want with me?"

"Your blood obviously."

"It's a sin to give this curse to innocent people. It won't make then or you any stronger."

"Never dying? Never aging? Sounds like a hell of a life."

"It's not! Not even close."

"Oh please, so you're gonna tell me you don't just love your life?"

"I don't." I say and he nods

"Well, we need a new basis of humanity, you and you're blood, will be the leader of it."

"I will never. It's a curse, I wouldn't want other innocent people to suffer like me."

"Oh, you look like you're just suffering." He says sarcastically

"You're a bastard after power. You don't care the impact this will have on people's lives." He smirks then shoves me back onto some cot thing and I jerk as he ties my feet and hands onto the bed.

"Your blood may be the way to bring humanity to a whole new level." He says

"How do you know it'll even work?" I hiss as he makes a gag cloth. I jam my lips shut and glare at him and he laughs prying open my mouth open, and shoving the cloth in.

"I don't, but I do know that it'll get us one step closer." He says and I yank at the binds trying to break free. I yell into the cloth but he just laughs.

"You can't do anything Skylar. I've got you thanks to Jason. Oh and by the way, Jason grew quite fond of you, but with his family on the line he wasn't going to back out on his orders. He's gonna be so depressed when he finds out his family is no longer with us."

I scream against the cloth beyond pissed. I yank and yank at the binds but still, nothing.

"Oh don't worry, we didn't kill them. They killed themselves."

I scream and he laughs.

"And then, he'll be taken out and it'll be one less obvious soon to be betrayal that occurs." I finally get the damn cloth out of my mouth and I spit at him.

"Don't touch him, he got me and I came."

"What's the fun in that? He's obviously gonna betray us."

"Why'd you hire him then?"

"Because I new he'd do anything to get his family back."

"The family that you took and murdered? That family?"

"Exactly, but remember darling. They killed themselves."

"Burn in hell!" I shout and he laughs grabbing a syringe.

"I'd love too." He spits then yanks up my shirt and stabs the syringe into my stomach and I shriek in agony as my world falls dark.
