Chapter 12: Birthday, Part 1

Hellooooo I'm back on this story, I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas if you celebrate it! Also in this book the timeline has been pushed a lot of years forward to fit everything that happens.

Y/N's POV

I woke up to the sun shining through the window, I looked at the clock sat on Severus' bedside table. 9:32am. I could hear Severus' breathing from behind me still at a normal pace.

I waited a few minutes until his arms tightened around my waist for a few seconds then loosened.

"Happy birthday darling." he said with his morning voice.

Oh. My. God. His morning voice is so sexy.

"Finally 18 I guess." I said as I turned over to face him. I pecked his lips and pulled away quickly but he pulled me back into his lips and we kissed for a minute or so.

"We should get up." Severus said as he pulled the duvet off the both of us.

I groaned but got up anyway. Severus took my hand and led my through to the living room. There was presents?

"Uh Severus why are there presents?" I asked confused. He smirked and brought me over to the sofa.

"I bought them for you." I was shocked, he didn't need to do that.

"Severus you didn't need to do that."

"Of course I did, it's your birthday. Come on open them!" he replied.

He reached for one and handed it to me. I started to unwrap it and inside was a record player.

"Oh my god, thank you so much I've wanted one for ages." He smiled at the sight of me being happy.

"It's no problem my love."

I moved on to the next one and opened it. A Taylor Swift record.

"I love Taylor Swift so much!! How did you know?"

"I have my ways." he said with a smirk. "Come on open the last one."

I reached for it and started to unwrap it. I opened the box and  inside was a gorgeous necklace.

"Oh Sev it's beautiful. I love it." I said gratefully.

"I knew you would like it, let me put it on you."

I turned around and moved my hair out the way as he reached round. I turned back and kissed him. After a minute or two we pulled away.

"You look beautiful." Severus said to me.

"Sev I woke up just under half and hour ago, I haven't got changed or put on any makeup-" he interrupted me before I could finish.

"You don't need makeup, your beautiful without it." he said making me blush. "Your cute when you blush though. I'm going to go make us some breakfast." he got up and kissed my cheek.

He walked over to the kitchen with me following behind. I jumped up on the counter with my legs hanging down.

"So whens your birthday?" I asked him.

"Why?" he said with a confused tone.

"Just wondering."

"9th January." he said smiling.

I nodded and smiled at him. That's a date I'll have to remember.

He finished cooking as I went to sit at the table. He brought the food over and sat down as well.

We started to eat having conversations between bites of our food.

"So what do you want to do today?" he asked.

"Could we just cuddle and read?"

"Of course we can."

We finished eating and I took the dishes to the sink. Severus looked at me with a confused look on his face.

"Darling what are you doing?"

"I'm cleaning up the dishes, why?"

"You don't need to do that it's your birthday I don't want you to have to be doing stuff like that on your special day."

He took the dishes from my hand and placed them in the sink with a simple spell to clean them and put them away.

"Let's go sit on the sofa and cuddle now." He said to me.

"Okay." I said with a soft smile.

I'm gonna end the chapter here because it's past midnight and I'm tired. I'll update when I can but I'm still sick from covid so I haven't been up to much. Stay safe guys.
