Being a puppet was so different, it was harder to navigate and you didn't have to sleep or eat. Obvouisly, it got very lonely. Luckily, your lover Mariachi was still there with you! You had been cursed together. "Mariachi! Are you there?" You called, wandering around his swamp. It was so dark, and the fact you already had limited vision as a puppet didn't help at all. You could barely make out his figure in the darkness, and you tripped on one of the lanterns.
"Y/N! ARE YOU OKAY??" Mariachi exclaimed, running over to you. You laughed over your clumsiness, and picked yourself up. "Yep! I'm fine, don't worry. After all, being a puppet made me so much stronger." You said, smiling. Mariachi breathed a sigh of relief and put the lantern back into place. "So what do you want to do?" He asked, turning to face you. You took a moment to think before replying. "Let's...hmm...lets cuddle!"
Mariachi's face turned a bright shade of red, which was quite noticeable with his pale complexion. "O-oh um..sure." He mumbled, waiting for you to cuddle him, and you did. It was more of a tackle- but oh well. "Wait, I have an idea! Be right back!" You said, jumping up and running off to who knows where. You soon came back with 4 lanterns in your arms, and oh god you were really struggling to carry them.
"Y/N! Do you need any help?" Mariachi asked, looking worried. "Nah I'm fin-" You said, getting cut off by falling flat on your face. Mariachi ran towards you. "Y/N, now you really need my help." He laughed, helping you up before he picked up two of the lanterns. "Thank you! Could you put those two lanterns over there together like this?" You asked, gesturing where to put the lanterns. He placed them down, and you followed suit, doing the same thing. "What is it? He asked.
"One second! If I just move this bit here...and position this lantern over here...done!" You happily said. Mariachi quickly realised that you had made a heart with the lanterns. His face turned red, for the second time in the last hour. "Y/N...YOU ARE THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD AND IM GOING TO PROTECT YOU NO MATTER WHAT!" He blurted out, pulling you into a tight hug. You both fell into the swamp with a spash, but it didn't really matter. "Aww Mariachi! Right back at you." You replied, hugging him back.
You hugged like that for a solid 9 hours.
