"Shhh, be more quiet darling. You wouldn't want to awaken your friends, right? Oh, how sad. They don't talk to you anymore. What a shame, really. But you have me!"

~

"Please, I beg of you, I'll do anything. Please just let me stay in your home for just an hour, I promise it won't be any trouble, I wont cause any mess!" You begged, trying to as silent as possible, as your neighbour scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Y/N, I'm not letting you in my house for no reason. And even if there was a reason, I'm afraid I can't let you in there." She said, sliding her door shut, leaving you outside in the pouring rain.

You softly knocked on the door, trying to not cause as much noise as possible, but you stopped midway as you heard the click of heels not far behind you. You brushed the dirt of your light blue kimono and tried to run. The dark of midnight made it impossible to navigate as you tripped over rocks and pathways, leaving your knees red from the amount of impact made on them within such a short period of time.

"Shhh..darling, why do you run? You do know I will be able to find you." Kintoru whispered, her soft voice echoing throughout the village as she pursued you. The echo of her voice replayed in your mind, causing you to collapse behind a small minka, your previous neighbours home. You covered your mouth quickly, not wanting Kintoru to hear your breathing, or see any signs on life within the dense forest that was ahead. The now nauseating sound of her heels could be heard as she drew closer to your hiding spot. Suddenly, you heard the direction of the sound turn towards you.

"Boo."

~
You awoke in the same minka that you had been having nightmares of. The room you were in was plain, with a single bright red rose in a white vase that sat on a small table in the centre of the room. Out of nowhere, you heard footsteps venture to the door to the room you were in.

"My darling! Oh how I have missed you, you've been hiding from me for so long anyway. I bought you a kimono, and some pretty primrose flowers!" Kintoru beamed, running into the room while enveloping you into a tight hug. You smiled softly. "Thank you Kintoru. However, I'm afraid I cannot accept these gifts, it would be far too greedy of me." You said, refusing her offerings. Her smile faded into a serious expression.

"But dear, it is not greedy for you to accept gifts. I do think you are ever so polite though." Kintoru said, smiling again after a brief pause. You forced a half smile and tried to act like you were happy to be there. She turned her head to face you again. "May I ask dear, why you are trying to run away from me? Assure me our love is not one sided." Kintoru whispered with vile intention in her voice, sending shivers down your spine.

"I-I um...it's not you doing anything bad. I love you darling, but it's only the second time we have met. You have to admit you chasing me in the middle of the night can be terrifying to me." You quietly said, trying to convince Kintoru nothing was wrong. She suddenly hugged you again, even tighter this time. "I know, I know. I came off a bit strong. I have known you for longer, so it's my fault for showering you with the wrong idea." She said, comforting you while petting your head.

"Now now, it's getting late is it not? Goodnight darling, I'll see you tommorow." She whispered, finally leaving you alone in the small room. You looked behind you and saw a futon placed aganist the wall, with a small note attached to the pillow. You walked over and read the note out of curiousity, and it was just Kintoru listing the things she adored about you. You sighed, and threw the note on the table. You loved her, but wasn't she a bit obsessive?

~

"Have you heard? Y/N keeps going missing and coming back days later, and they look fine."

"Mhm, I heard from their neighbour, Yuka. And Y/N...was it?"

"Yes, and I heard someone saying a woman by the name of Kin something was responsible for their disappearances."

"I know. She's evil."
