The next day.
I mounted my horse, I didn't carry much baggage so he was happy. I seemed to have a way with animals, and all races. I can understand them even though they speak another language entirely, and they can understand me. It is kind of a talent of mine. I have a few but this was my favorite.
"Kyra!" Fili called from the maw of the woods, waving his arms back and fourth.
My horse trotted over to him, I smiled as we met.
"Hello!" I beamed
"Are you quite excited?" He asked
"Yes! Quite!" I gushed "I can't believe i am meeting the Thorin Okensheild son of thror son of thrain!"
He chuckled as he mounted his pony and we headed through the woods.
Soon we met up with kili, his hair was messily pulled back. He road his pony next to fili's, paying no mind to me.
"Far over the misty mountains cold.
To dungeons deep, and caverns old.

The pines were roaring on the height.
The winds were moaning in the night.
The fire was red, it flaming spread.
The trees like torches blazed with light. " I sang to myself quietly, hoping no one would hear. Then I notice both of them looking at me.
"How do you no that song?" Fili asked
"My mother use to sing it to me as child." I said remembering the last time I saw her.
"Oh. Interesting." He said
"We're here. Finally!" Kili groaned
It was a little campsite with a few hollow logs around a fire pit. And around 12 or 13 places meant for sleeping.
"So this is the girl you two kept talking about!" A very fat bubbly dwarf with red hair said
"Hello, I am Kyra Arkenshield. At your service." I bowing my head.
"These are Oin, Gloin, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Dori, Nori, Ori, And last of all Thorin Oakenshield." Fili said. Pointing out each one.
"It's an honor to meet you all." I said as I dismounted my horse to curtsy, since I am meeting Thorin Oakenshield.
Fili's P.O.V.
"Come here." I said to kyra, tugging lightly on her hood. Her face was red as a tomato, I could tell she was nervous. She had been so excited to meet Thorin.
"Ok." She said. I brought her over to Thorin.
"Hello, Kyra Arkenshield." He said as we came over.
"H-hello." She studdered.
"I see my sister's sons have invited you to join our company." He said
"Yes."
"Well we must learn more about you first, tell me some of your talents." He said
"She has an Amazayn singing voice!" I interrupted
"Did I ask you, fili?" He asked
"No." I replied
"Now go help kili." He said
"Yes sir." I said glumly and walked over to kili.
Kyra's P.O.V.
"Bye fili." I said quietly and he gave me a gentle pat on the back.
"So, other than singing what are your talents?" Thorin asked again
"I can hunt, and cook, and I am a fast runner, and" I hesitated, thinking if I should tell him. "I can kind of speak to animals and all species. Even if they don't speak my language." Oh no! He probably thinks I am insain!
"Prove it." He said
"How?" I asked
"Speak my pony. Ask him what he ate for breakfast."
"Which one is yours?" I asked
He showed me which one and I walked up to it, "hello" I whispered into his ear.
He huffed hello back.
"My name is Kyra whats yours?" I whispered
"Thats a lovely name, Kyra" he nayed "I am chaser, It's a bit odd but I have to live with it."
"It's not odd at all, I think it's wonderful." I said
"Thank you, Kyra." He nayed
"I was wondering if you could tell me what you had for breakfast." I asked
"I had three green apples."
"Thank you! Would you like something in return?" I said
"Do you think you could pick me some blackberrys? If I try to get them myself ill get splinters in my nose and they
Are my absolute favorite food." He huffed
"Thank you again!" I said as I walked back to Thorin. "He had three apples." I said
"Amazing!" He chuckled "that's exactly right! Fili, Kili! Come here!" He called
The both ran over, "what is it?" Kili asked.
"I think we have found a new member to our company!" He said joyously
