"What do you think, Sunny?" Mari said with a smile. "A double-date with me and Hero – that'll solve all your issues!"

Sunny glanced away in thought. True, a double-date was a nice idea for a third date, but wouldn't he feel more awkward trying to get closer to Aubrey with others watching him? Let alone his own sister.

Mari, as if reading his mind, responded. "Come on, Sunny! Trust your big sister on this! With our help, you might feel that special connection even during the date." Sunny looked back at Mari, causing her to put on a smug grin. "And at the end of it, I could give you a couple of tips to get even closer to her..." As Sunny's ears grew red, Mari continued, her smile getting slightly wider. "Oh? What might my little brother be thinking of now? Perhaps, you were looking forward to Aubrey giving you a k-"

"Mari!" Sunny interrupted, covering his reddening face. "It's not like that!"

Mari giggled at her brother's outburst, watching him blush. Sunny continued. "A-anyway, it'll depend on whether Aubrey is alright with it. A-and Hero as well."

Mari smiled. "I'll worry about Hero. If Aubrey isn't convinced, tell her-"

"It was Mari's idea?" Aubrey asked over the phone. At least she seemed receptive. Sunny instinctively nodded, before realising she wouldn't be able to see him over the phone and responded, slightly embarrassed. "Mm. Mari said Hero would be driving us to a fancier place out of town this Saturday. She said to dress up a bit."

Aubrey facepalmed and mumbled. "Was this why she brought me to buy that dress just a few days ago? How long has she been planning this for?" She felt her lip curl up slightly.

"Did you say something?"

"No, it's nothing... Well, I don't dislike the idea... And I won't say no to having a fancy dinner." With you. She added in her mind. "Was that all you wanted to talk to me about?"

"Yeah, that's all. See you at 6 on Saturday?"

"Mm. I'll meet you at your place. " Came the response, as she hung up.

Friday came and went quickly, with Sunny getting more and more nervous as the promised time approached. Mari, ever the big sister, helped Sunny into a smart black-and-white suit and combed his hair neatly, before putting on her dress; a royal purple short-sleeved dress, with a ruffle trim on its right side from her waist down.

While Mari prepared her makeup, Sunny faced the bathroom mirror, frowning slightly. While he agreed he looked sharper in a suit, the fact that he barely grew at all since the recital annoyed him a bit. That, and the suit was quite uncomfortable; the long sleeves made his arms a little too heavy, the long pants made his legs a little too warm, and the tie made him feel he was being lightly choked all the time. Still, Mari seemed excited, and Sunny trusted her implicitly, so he decided to do it for her. And Aubrey.

He just wished he wasn't forced to put the suit on a whole hour before the meeting time.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"I think that might be Hero!" Mari said with a smile. "Coming!"

Sunny followed behind, as Mari opened the door to reveal-

Bright pink hair providing a stark contrast to a black shoulderless dress. The single high side-cut complementing her legs well, Aubrey stood at the door, flushing slightly. "Ah. Hi, Mari."
