Aubrey's head rested on an unclenched fist, as she lay on the couch in Sunny's house. The peaceful silence led to a stray idea forming, one she needed answered. "Say, Sunny." She flipped the page of the magazine she was reading, brushing a stray hair from her face. She heard a sharp intake of breath, as Sunny, awoken from his daydream, tilted his head curiously towards her. "If you don't like talking on the phone that much, why do you always call and never text?"

A valid question, by any means. Which is why she did not expect him to suddenly flush pink and look away. She sat up, directly facing him. "Sunny? You alright?" Sunny's ears grew redder, stammering as if there were some sort of uncomfortable truth he was unable to put forth. "I... Well... It's just..."

"Sorry to interrupt, you two!" Mari's voice called from the kitchen. "It's getting late. Don't you have that job you have to get to, Aubrey?" Aubrey's eyes drifted over to the clock over the mantlepiece. "Huh? What time is - oh, shoot. Yep, gotta go." She got up, shuffling her feet towards the front door. "See you tomorrow, Sunny." She looked back, noticing Sunny sitting up, his gaze lingering on her. Their eyes met, and she flashed him a warm smile, watching his blush return to his ears. Aubrey giggled, stepping over to ruffle his hair, as he slowly lifted a couch cushion to cover his face, muting his soft voice even more. "See you tomorrow, Aubrey.".

To be able to make him blush just from a smile...Geez, Sunny. You sure make me feel pretty. Aubrey thought, leaning over to plant a kiss on his forehead. "Mmh..." Sunny murmured in response, meekly hugging the couch cushion, red spreading to his face, his eyes angling away from her. Cute... Unable to contain herself, she leaned over to give him a hug as well, an arm thrown over his shoulder, and another continuing to ruffle his hair. She basked in his warmth, letting loose a radiant smile. "Don't look so lonely, Sunny! I'll be back before you know it, alright?"

The sound of ruffling of hair and fabric was overridden by Mari's voice. "Flirting is fine and all, but keep doing it for too long and you'll be late for sure, Aubrey~". Aubrey pushed away immediately, her face showing the tell-tale shades of red. "I-I wasn't! It's not like that!" She once again began stepping to the front door, ignoring Mari's smug grin.

As the front door closed, Sunny hugged the couch cushion tighter, his face still burning from the physical affection he received. He didn't notice Mari leaning down towards his sensitive ears. "Why're you so thirsty, Sunny?" She whispered into his sensitive ear, causing Sunny to let out a yelp and fall back lying onto the couch. His face now fully red, he held his ear, pursing his lips, before once again reaching for the couch cushion as a shield for his face. "Ahaha! What's gotten you so embarrassed, little brother?" Mari teased, a wide smile plastered on her face, as Sunny shifted his gaze away.

Mari's smile softened. "You love Aubrey a lot, don't you?" Sunny flinched, then responded with a nod, clutching the cushion tighter to his chest. "I've got a little bit of money. We could visit her at her workplace for dessert. She does work at a café, you know." Sunny's eyes widened, looking up at her. Noticing she had his full attention, Mari put on a smug grin. "You could see her in her work clothes. Maybe she'll be dressed sharply, say, like a butler..."

At this, Sunny's eyes seemed to sparkle, causing Mari to let out a snicker. She put her fingers over her mouth. "What're you thinking of, little brother? Maybe, Aubrey in a suit, princess-carrying you to-"

"Mari!" Sunny's voice came out muffled by the cushion, his eyes squeezed shut. "I'm nooot..." How does Mari always know what I'm thinking...? Sunny felt his face burn, as he hid himself the best he could. Visiting Aubrey isn't a bad idea, though... He thought, starting to fantasize once more.
