Sunny lay on the couch, his hands behind his head. Aubrey... He absentmindedly thought to himself, remembering the time he spent pretty much half a day physically clinging to her. How many people saw him get carried by Aubrey all the way to Gino's? In hindsight, that was really embarrassing, wasn't it? ...It's not like he didn't enjoy it though.

Perhaps he could bring her somewhere further out from Faraway next time? Sunny sank into his imagination, envisioning himself bringing Aubrey to a museum, looking at ancient relics from the past. He imagined a giant sprawling cave underneath the museum that the two of them had found in the basement and had decided to explore. They would defend themselves against creatures from a different time, and when they got tired, they would rest and have a dinner made from strange cave mushrooms and questionable moss. They would have an entire adventure discovering the remains of a civilization long gone, just the two of them. And when their campfire's light grew dim, they would snuggle together, and send each other off to sleep with a ki-

A set of knocks jolted Sunny out of his daydream.

Sunny peered out towards the front door from his comfortable position. Mari and his parents were out today, which left him as the only valid choice to open the door. He sighed and sank deeper into the couch for a moment, hoping he imagined the knocks. That happened sometimes, what with his overactive imagination.

Another set of knocks shattered his thoughts.

Sunny stood up and made his way towards the door. Hopefully it was Aubrey. She always brightened up his day. Sunny's ears started turning red as he considered the implications... Though, weren't they dating? Was it really that weird to like someone you're dating that much? He'd known her for years beforehand, after all. He also had to see how she felt about heading further out from Faraway for a date.

He put his hand on the doorknob, quelling his anxiety. A voice filtered through the door. "Sunny? Are you in? It's Basil! I'm just making a quick stop, Polly's waiting for me." Oh.

He opened the door, his eyes meeting the blond flowerboy. Basil's face lit up as the door opened, giving Sunny a big smile. "Hey Sunny! It's good to see you! Though, I won't be staying long..." Sunny nodded, the end of his lip curling up ever-so-slightly. He continued. "There's an amusement park close by I managed to get two tickets for. I was going to invite you, but my parents are coming back from their trip for the first time in a long time. So I was thinking... Maybe it won't be a bad idea if you brought Aubrey there instead!" Sunny's eyes widened, nodding quickly at the idea.

"Ehe... I didn't expect you to agree so fast, Sunny!" Basil chuckled. Pulling out two tickets from his wallet, he handed them over to Sunny. "Well, the tickets expire tomorrow, so... Enjoy yourselves!" He stepped away from the front door, giving a wave goodbye as he went.

That settles it. He'll bring her to the amusement park.

"That's nice of him. Aren't the entrance fees for amusement parks usually really expensive?"

Aubrey and Sunny were sitting on the couch, the television on, but at a soft volume. Aubrey scooted closer to Sunny and wrapped her blanket around him. As she leaned into him, she felt his muscles tense up. She smiled, the heat from his chest betraying Sunny's blushing self. "I wouldn't mind going." Only with you, of course. She added in her mind.

She could feel happiness almost radiating off of him. Looking up at him, she caught sight of the small smile on his face. So cute. Putting an arm around him, Aubrey continued. "You look so happy, Sunny-honey! I'm your girlfriend, aren't I? It's not like we haven't gone on dates together before, geez..."
