Yes, I know the title doesnt make sense, just go with it.Once upon a time, Shaye had portfolios to do.
Not that has changed. Still got two to go, only one piece left for one and then I have the big boi to work toward.
Point is, one of those required a sequential image telling, aka, a storyboard. One of which used your own characters. The storyboard will be next chapter, and you will see I got a big overzealous and ambitious with it 😂🙃.
If the technique is bad I wanna at least show my ambition, hopefully that'll make up for some points or something.
The whole reason it got extended so much was both to show eagerness to story tell, and also the story that I DID want to tell couldn't be fit in the space I kept trying to make effectively. Either it would cut off way too quickly and awkwardly, making it obvious I stopped due to limited panels and intimidation from making more.
So, yeah I kept extending it and keep trying to make a place that'll work.
It doesn't help that I was hallway through a first draft storyboard about a little smaller than the one I finished. It started as a first draft with entirely different characters and different scenes, but I ended up not being confident in the product and ended up started over with something I believe was much high quality.
So... yeah. I'll see how it goes. Hopefully I didn't break a rule or something.
The thing about portfolio requirements is that they are both super specific and don't really specify things all at once.
Anyway, that's enough.
Back to the topic, these drawings are sketches I made on cue-cards while I consumed food of background characters that'll appear to set the scene since there are multiple group scenes and uses of characters in the background. It is crowded and full of savage animalistic people.
God, that's the most satanic looking thing I ever drew.
Just gotta let you know, the first couple are ranked in order or scariness and "who you would not want to get killed by", first being the big no-no.
Once, baby Shaye made one of her typical edgy comics, this one with edgy demons being edgy and angry at each other and start a war. 84% of which was likely taken from other people's content, but I decided to do a big boi revamp. As I thought the concept could be cool and my heart just kinda felt like this was the thing I needed to do.
Maybe it was a typical Shaye impulse, I dunno. But I ended up doing a huge revamp of this "series", and they became super original and less cringey!
