(Modern note, I suggest looking at my later chapters, as they are typically more up to par with my current artistic capabilities. But I would still appreciate if you look at the earlier ones if you decide my art journey is for you! Thank you for sto...
Hello there, it's been a little bit of a gap since the last chapter, or any updates on social media really. So, as I've mentioned, I am trying to balance multiple portfolios and some projects along with some personal stuff, so as you can assume, updates will be slow for the time being.
However, for now, here's what I've made:

Tried to hop on the Surge and Kit bandwagon trend. I only own one IDW comic, and it's not even Imposter Syndrome so I feel almost like I have no right to draw them 😂🙃.
But I love Surge's design (seems eerily close to Scourge) and to be bluntly honest, I needed to hop on the trend to stay relevant since updates have been slow. Overall tried approaching it like I do my traditional work: a clusterf**k of random bulls**t. 😩🤌🏼

Their hands looks bad despite me trying to be ambitious.
Not a big fan of Kit's design, not gonna lie, but I figured out a cool effect and tool that helped me make the outline of the water, so that's cool.
Wished the whole "wet hair" look they gave him was pushed a bit further like in the concept art, but hey, I can take artistic liberties, I guess.
Plus I always edit the colours and typically the hair placement and sometimes clothes of characters I draw anyway. I almost always edit the colour scheme to suit my "style", which is to dull it a bit so it's not overly saturated and bright so in intense scenes with glows can really pop! Such as Surge's pants, they CRANKED up the yellow to the top of saturation and brightness and I was having none of it.
Plus I'm an edgy weirdo who doesn't really like overly saturated stuff anyways. Kinda loses the brightness of the colour's value and purpose when it's used everywhere. It fascinates how colours can look when desaturated, playing around with hues and brightness always sucks me in for hours.
Anyways, that was long enough of a colour fangirl nonsense essay. 😂
