it was Kates birthday. 4th birthday, Hazel her mom, had gotten a small cake for her only daughter. she set her daughter in her chair and walked over toothier drunk drawer to pull out for candles and a lighter. She then put the 4 candles on the cake, then one at a time she lit up the candles. just then Jason, Kates father, walks in with a huge smile on his face
"Hey Baby Girl, hey babe did I miss anything?" he said walking in the kitchen still having a ginormous smile on his face
" nope you came just in time, we were just about to start!" hazel replied then they started singing happy birthday to their daughter " come on now you get to blow out the candles" she said Kate then started blowing out her cake. "ooh good job honey." she said taking out the candles not realizing that one of t he candles was still lit.
many hours later all three were asleep Kate asleep in her room and Jason and hazel asleep in their room. moments later the two were awoken to the fire alarm. Jason and hazel jumped out of bed " go down stair to the neighbors and call 911 I will get Kate" hazel said Jason tried to argue but he knew she was stubborn and didn't want to either of them ti stay ion their as long as they should so he ran to go to the neighbor to call 911.
minutes later Hazel was running down stair with a very tired Kate in her hands she half a foot away from the door when she realized the the ceilings about to break over them so she quickly put her daughter on the ground and quickly said to her daughter while she was I the middle of a coughing fit "Kate....I need... you... to run... out the.....door... the ceiling... its about... to collapse ... go run"
"no I don't want to leave you here mama!" Kate said on the verge of tears and with that the ceiling collapsed on top of hazel
