Monday night rolled around slower than I could have wanted it to. My nerves stood on end with the anticipation to start the investigation on the school and having died when I was only twenty helps to blend in with the students. Soja had gone at the age of twenty-five but could easily pass as a mature looking eighteen.

It was hard to believe that Soja had a good two hundred years on me. The Edo period in Japan must have been some shit see. He lived through seven eras.

I don't have time to think of all of that though. Soja had finished a while ago and was already waiting for me at the car. As if on cue, I could hear Soja honk the horn. I'll have to admit it though, that man is incredible for having to keep learning how things worked all the damn time.

I shook myself out of the deep thoughts I found myself in over a man who I seemed to be connected to. I grabbed my book bag and ran down the stairs, into the passenger seat of Soja's waiting car. "Purity," Soja cleared his throat. "I know that you can be super impatient with some of your assignments but why can't you be that way when it comes to getting ready for school?"

I looked at him, "I was just lost in thought. That's all." He looked at me with a hint of surprise. I guess he just expected me to be just as haughty as I normally was. But not when it was just me and him in the car. At least not this early in the night.

"About the other day," he cleared his throat in nervousness. "About the other day, you know, when we slept together? I-if you, I don't know, wanted to do that again, we could definitely give it another feel. You know, to relieve stress."

"To relieve stress?" I questioned.

"Yes, from the assignment. I mean, we're both going to be out in the feild and it's going to get pretty tense. I just thought that maybe it would help. You have seemed a little more calm the past couple of nights."

If he only knew, "Sure, to relieve stress." If he only knew how hard it was to keep myself under control while he was around me. Everytime he was near, it was like an animal trying to get out of its cage. And each day his scent grew stronger and filled my nose with his intoxicating aroma. I don't know if this is part of the Chosen thing or what, I just know that I want more.

I watched as Soja's muscles tensed and relaxed as I said that. He was fighting an urge as well. It was almost too much for me.

We pulled into the parking lot of the school and right away I could tell my target hadn't been here at least since Friday. Her scent was strong but it was fading, and fading fast. This might be an easy night after all. Interveiwing different kids to find out as much as possible.

I leaned back onto my bed after what felt like the longest night of my life. What I thought was going to be an easy night turned into one of the most annoying fucks in my entire existance. Every person I spoke to had no idea who Abigael was. Either that or they were protecting her in some way.

I heard the shower turn off and watched as Soja exited the bathroom with a towel around his waste and another one he used to dry his hair. He stopped in front of my open bedroom door and our eyes met. Immediately, I could feel my body start to heat up with that animalistic urge. It was stronger than this evening.

I could hear a low, hungry growl escape Soja's lips and he seemed surprised at the sound that escaped him. But he didn't stay surprised for long. I could feel my fengs start to elongate and it took every fiber in my being not to pounce on him like a predator and its prey.

I couldn't say the same for the normally calm and level headed Soja. He slowly stepped into my room as if to sneak up on me and not alert me. Once he was close enough, he pinned me against my bed and began hungrily kissing my lips. His tongue pushing past my lips to eagerly intwine with mine. He grasped at me more urgently than before and my body responded in kind. This time my heart raced, and every time he touched me it sent my skin into flames.

I eagerly opened my legs as he began to undress me so I can welcome him fully.

Tyler cleared his throat in the doorway, "I'll just leave two alone. It looks like you have the stress reducer under control." With that, he walked back down the stairs.

He barely registered in our minds, Soja and I were already too far gone.
