"Ok, we need to make sure that tonight goes off without a hitch. John, I need you to watch for Justice. If he so much as even steps a foot into view, I need to know about it. Tyler, I need you to play cop again. That badge pull that you did on yours and Purity's last job was great. We'll potentially need to move out a couple of civilians if she has any there. As for you, Purity, you just got up the other day. You stay here and man the laptop and ear pieces. You're not back to full strength yet, but I know you still want to be a part of this.
I will be going in and taking her down. When Tyler knocks on the door I will sneak in through the back window. Once she's been detained, I will send Purity the signal so we can begin our interigation as soon as we get back."
Everyone nodded their heads in understanding while Soja walked around the room and passed out the ear pieces. I watched as Soja gave me a stern smile. Ever since I woke back up he had been keeping a subtle eye on me wherever I went. His eyes always holding a shade of concern and curiosity.
He had been almost afraid to be with me in the way that we had been, but he started doing things for me that he wouldn't do for anyone else in the house. John, of course, had his own place, but had been staying here due to late nights of talking over the case with Soja and Tyler.
Soja cleared his throat, pulling me out of my thoughts. He had handed me my ear piece and was now carresing my hand. "Purity, if anything happens while we're gone, hit the emergency alarm under the desk. It will notify me and I will be here in less than a heartbeat."
"I'll be fine, Soja. Don't worry. But, if anything does happen, I'll be sure to do it." I waved away Soja's look of concern.
He looked at me with a satisfied glance with just the slightest hint of worry. "Good. Now follow me and I'll get you set up on the laptop." Then he leaned in and whispered in my ear. "I need to talk to you in private."
I followed him down the hall and into Tyler's room.
Soja grabbed the laptop off of the bed and brought it over to the desk where the charger lay plugged into the desk outlet. He sat me in the desk chair and started to log into the computer pulling up a map with GPS.
"All of our ear pieces have a GPS tracker inside. From here you'll be able to see where we are at all times. While you were asleep, we managed to place a tracker in Abigaels phone, so you'll be able to track her movements as well. We'll pop up as green and as you can see on screen here, Abigael shows as red. If, for whatever reason, we need information on our target or one of the civilians, just click on the three lines right here to pull down the menu. Go to the 'Persons' tab, click and type in the name of who we're looking for in the search bar so you don't have to scroll through."
I nodded my understanding. Soja was breathtaking when he took on the leadership roll.
Soja glanced back at me and took my hand. "Purity, when we get done here, I think we should talk. I can't just be your superior. There's something between us that I think it's time we talk about and clear things up. I need you to know, before we do this. Purity, I love you. We don't have time right now to talk about this whole thing, but we will when I get back."
I felt the air in my throat catch. If my heart were still beating, it would definitely skip. He quickly leaned in and gently and lovingly kissed my lips.
Before I could say a word after he pulled away, he quickly walked out and all three men went to start the mission.
