Chapter 5
I woke up and saw the clock said 7:20.
“OH MY GOODNESS,” I almost yelled as I flew out of bed brushing my hair. I pulled off my pajamas and threw on a decent outfit for school. I jumped out of my room and ran downstairs. I grabbed an apple as I threw my boots on. I turned and saw Margie and Zane sitting there just staring at me.
“What…?” I asked cautiously.
“Youngin’ Zane here is coming to school with ya today.” Margie simply said.
“What?!” I almost screeched.
“Yup, your parents made sure we have all the same classes,” Zane said as he smirked.
‘Ok, that’s it. I’m officially gonna kill my parents,’ I thought to myself. But I just nodded simply trying not to make a scene. The bus pulled up and I ran outside, quickly followed by Zane. I jumped on the bus.
“Hey Lou,” I said while I walked to my seat.
“Hey Oakley, whose this” She said meaning to Zane.
“Oh, hello Ma’am I’m Zane.” He said politely and he shook her hand.
“Nice too meet ya Zane, take a seat.” She said as she pulled the doors close. Zane walked down the aisle and all my class mates started to scoot over and try to let him sit down. He just kept walking until he came by my seat.
“Is this seat perhaps taken?” He asked in his soft but sarcastic way.
“Yes, I don’t allow jerks to sit next to me.” I said simply trying to get him to sit somewhere else. He just sat down not caring about what I had just uttered 2 second earlier. I rolled my eyes but kept silent.
“So Oakley, why don’t you like me?” He asked while leaning in and whispering that into my ear. I pulled back and stared at him.
“Because you’re a pompous turd who has too much testosterone for your own good, you think the world revolves around you and you’re just trying to kiss me.” I said simply, turning to the window. But I could hear him start smirking.
I could feel his breathing on my neck and then I heard him whisper, “You know you want to kiss me.” Then he put his arm around me. My jaw just dropped. I didn’t move it because I didn’t wanna be the girl harassed for breaking his precious jaw. I just sat there, his arm around me and seeing him smirk.
I leaned in to his ear and whispered, “Why are you so caught up with kissing me?” I smirked and turned forward. His jaw dropped but soon turned into a smirk.
“Because you don’t want to kiss me, that is why I wanna kiss you. You see everyone wants a piece of this,” He said smirking.
“Nope, sorry not interested.” I said pushing his arm off and scooting as close to the window as possible. He just scooted into the space I had created.
He leaned in and whispered, “You’re going to kiss me. That’s not an option.”
I rolled my eyes and just then we arrived at school. I got up and went to walk past him, but instead he pulled my wrist which pulled me onto his lap.
He smirked and said, “You just can’t help yourself can you.”
I pushed him and swiftly walked off the bus, I saw Amanda standing there waiting for me. I smiled and sighed. I walked over to her and smiled.
“Hey Amanda,” I said trying not to sound pissed off.
“What’s wrong?” She said as she folded her arms.
