Chapter 9

I woke up to the typical sounds of a Saturday. Only it wasn't a typical Saturday, but only to my displeasure I would find that out soon. Rubbing my eyes to see that my clock read 7:45, well looks like I know how I'm spending my afternoon, Netflix, YouTube and WattPad that sums up my life. Every waking hour just watching 'Bones, Law and Order or Sherlock' in my 'ordinary' life. I was in the middle of reading a book on WattPad when my dad's car pulled out of the driveway. Returning back to watching Bones a shiver ran up my spine as she looked at dead people *Not as creepy as it sounds J*. I pushed pause when I heard a whimper, looking down Carter's beautiful puppy eyes starred up at me adorably.

"You're just so darn cute you know that?" I said while pulling Carter onto my bed.

"I try," I heard the all too familiar voice at the doorway.

Not even looking up I said, "It was meant for the dog."

"I know, but it could have been meant for me." Zane said with a smirk.

"OK ok, I'm just gonna sit here and waste my life on Netflix. Go do whatever Zane's do on Saturdays."

"Your funny but ok ok I get when I'm not wanted." He said while dramatically putting his hand on his heart.

"Drama queen," I heard my mom say as she passed my room.

"I'm getting teamed up on. I'm gonna go watch Netflix and cry out my worries." He said in a girly voice and then he went into his room.

I brushed Carter and said, "Yep he is defiantly a girl behind those cheekbones."

"I heard that!" Zane called from his room.

I blushed slightly but pushed play on Bones while Carter fell asleep on my lap.

***

I woke up finding myself looking into green eyes.

"AHH!!!" I said while my fist punched the person or thing in front of me.

"What the crap women?! Do you punch everyone who plays a joke?"

I looked over to my awesome cuz standing there, a hand on her nose.

"CHRIS!" I said while flying out of bed and wrapping her in a hug.

"Now I get love, when you nearly gave me a nose job. And hey when were you able to punch that hard?" She said rubbing her nose that was slightly bleeding.

"Well... umm the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." I said sheepishly.
