This summer was by far the best summer Elara had ever had. Spending long days practicing dark magic with Severus, resting in front of the fireplace at nights as Severus was reading her poetry, and practicing dance with Malfoy family, a new idea of Draco's father in which Severus accepted on a dinner party they had every week. Lucius believed they needed to teach Elara and Draco how to dance properly, as it was a shame for families like them if their children wouldn't be able to dance in special occasions. Although Severus agreed with the idea, he was never a kind of person who dances in front of other people, so he didn't teach two teenagers at Malfoy manor, but he gave Elara extra practices at home, where he was sure Draco wasn't around to make fun of him. As a result, Elara had a regular dancing lesson at Malfoy manor on weekends, in which Narcissa and Lucius took responsibility of teaching her and Draco, and also a private dancing lesson with Severus at home. She was really enjoying being held in Snape's arms and moving at the same time with him as the music was playing. She loved it when she messed up the dance and Severus made fun of her mistake and they laughed.
Elara knew about Snape's secret, being in love with Lily Potter, and she knew she is not supposed to talk about it with anyone, not even to Snape himself; but she always hoped she could do anything to make her dad happy, and seeing the hints of happiness in his eyes while they were dancing, gave her hope.

The summer was getting close to its end and she was making herself mentally ready for the third year at Hogwarts; she didn't like being at that school, the headmaster of Hogwarts tried to kill her last year, and also everybody discovered her true identity as a daughter of the most dangerous wizard of the living memory of magical history, Voldemort. She had almost no friends there besides Draco. Of course all the Slytherins were always around her, obeying her and taking care of her, but those connections were obviously fake; none of them were truly friends with her, they were faking a friendship because their parents, who were mostly former death eaters, had made them to stick to their master's daughter. Things were even worse with other houses, where non-Slytherin students either hated her or feared her, so she had absolutely no chance of making another friend apart from Draco.

On one of the last days of summer, Elara and Severus made dinner together after a long practice of dark magic, enjoyed their meal together, and rested at the couch in front of the fireplace in the living room again. Elara didn't know when did she put her head on her dad's shoulder and dozed off, but she vividly remember dragging out of her dreamless nap by a loud noise, from the fire place. Snape, who had also fallen asleep, jumped out of his skin and saw as Elara summoned both of their wands by a bare hand as someone got out of the fireplace. As she gave Severus his wand and they both pointed it at the person in front of them, a familiar voice spoke:
"please help me. They're following me."

Elara's eyes widened as she recognized the stranger.
"How on earth are you in this house, Potter?" Snape said with a tone Elara couldn't decide whether he was disgusted or shocked.
"P—professor Snape, someone's following me and they want to kill—"
Harry's sentence was left incomplete as another loud noise came from the fireplace. Harry ran for his life to where Elara and Severus were standing and Elara watched as 3 large man, dressed up in black, entered the room, one of them yelling "There he is. You can not hide from us Potter. Not after what you did to our master. You wouldn't have walked alone in the streets alone if you didn't have a death wish."
"Who are you?" Snape shouted, this time for sure angry.
The man who was talking earlier, responded with a wide smirk on his face as he recognized Severus.
"Snape! What are the chances! We caught the filthy Potter boy who did this to us... to the Dark Lord. Let us kill him and get our revenge."
"You're not doing such thing in my house." A female voice rang, Elara's.
"My Lady, this boy has defeated your father. Let us —"
"I don't like to repeat myself. The Dark Lord hadn't asked his followers to kill this boy, at least didn't get the chance to; but I, as his heir, am commanding you to leave Harry Potter alone. One more of you in this house and I will make sure every one of you die in the most painful way. Do you understand me or should I start by you 3?"
