A week passed. It became a habit for the racer to come to Jimin after work and spend some time before he dropped Jimin home. After many pleadings the dancer agreed to let Jungkook drop him at his house.
Jimin wouldn't admit but he somehow felt comfortable with the younger. He felt butterflies whenever Jungkook did something romantic and be a gentleman. The younger didn't know why he was so fascinated by Jimin since the first time he met. Like he was born for that moment. He even cringed about thinking like that. But he could never deny that he was falling for Park Jimin deeper day by day. And he won't mind it either. It was love at first sight for him. And for Jimin too. Although the latter is sassy.
Jungkook entered Jimin's studio with a smile. The smaller taught dance to children and worked as a choreographer too. It was getting dark as parents came to pick their children up.
When he saw Jimin talking with a small girl, his lips curved upwards.
"Hey, Ji Eun. Good evening, hyung" Jungkook greeted them.
"Hey, Oppa. Do you know what we did today? Jiminie taught me a new step and it was so cool" she explained to Jungkook with stars in her years making him chuckle.
"Oh....how about you show me?" He asked back.
"Not now. Your papa is waiting for you, baby. Come let me drop you" Jimin said picking her up and kissing her cheeks earning a cute giggle which made him giggle too.
The couple crossed the road and dropped Ji Eun at Jin's cafe as the girl ran to hug his papa.
"PAPA"
"Hey, sweetie. Was it fun with your uncle?" Jin asked kissing her forehead.
"It was so much fun. Where is Appa?" She asked instead about Namjoon.
"Today he will be late I guess, Eunie" Jungkook answered instead. She pouted sadly wanting to play with her father.
"It's just today. I'll ask him to come home on time after today" he said making her excitedly nod.
"Guys, do you know why the king was only a foot tall?" Jin asked excitedly wiggling his eyebrows.
"Ah....again" everyone groaned.
"Because he was a ruler" Jin laughed uncontrollably hitting Jungkook's back who was fake laughing because he knew if he didn't laugh now Jin wouldn't allow him to take Jimin out.
Jimin and his niece looked at the two like they have grown horns.
"Seriously, Jungkook?" He scoffed.
"Yah...brat. Why aren't you laughing?" Jin asked twisting Jimin's ear after calming from his fit of laughter.
"Ow...ow...ow...Hyung...its hurting. Please...I'll laugh hyung...hahaha" Jimin whimpered in pain. Jungkook laughed at the brothers when he felt a pang in his head causing him to close his eyes.
Beyond his closed eyes, he was seeing the same scene where Jin was twisting Jimin's ears but they were different. Wearing different clothes. Different surroundings. He was quite weirded out by it. It was like a lightening that he couldn't capture most of that imagination. But it was too clear to be an imagination.
"...ook. Jungkook?" Jimin called him for the nth time finally gaining his attention.
"W-What?"
"Shall we go?" Jimin asked eyeing him with concern.
"Are you okay?" He added.
"Ah..yes, hyung" Jungkook answered grabbing the smaller's wrist and proceeding to his car. He opened Jimin's side of the door trying to be a gentleman and then settled on his seat.
"J-jungkook?"
"Hmm?"
"Today there is a firework event near the river. Would you talk me there? It's okay if you don't-"
"I'll take you there, hyung. Why are you even hesitating?" Jungkook smiled at how Jimin asked that shyly.
He was happy Jimin was being comfortable with him. The drive was peaceful with occasional glances. The racer was driving over the bridge slowly so that Jimin could enjoy the view. The elder smiled at his behaviour.
He smiled beautifully that his eyes turned into crescents. All this while he was staring at the river where the reflection of city lights shined elegantly. He moved his eyes towards the pavements of the bridge looking at people walking happily to watch the firework event.
He smiled as he saw a family walking. The father is carrying his 5 or 6-year-old son on his shoulders while his wife interlinked her arms with his as they all were laughing happily. His eyes softened.
But a familiar pain hit his head as he was no longer in the car with Jungkook. He was on the same bridge but the surroundings were quite different. He looked frantically around at the unfamiliar yet familiar place.
That's when he caught the sight of a board hanging on the bridge pillar.
