Chapter Six: Learning about Earth

I found an Autobot frequency that talked about a rendezvous point nearby. Starscream assumed that they were near their base and ordered some troops to find them. They never came back. But Starscream finally decided to let the crew vote on what to do with Megatron. I reluctantly voted to give him medical attention by a professional. The only professional on this planet. Knockout and his assistant Breakdown.

I haven't seen them in a long time now. Not that they'll give me a welcome because everyone is afraid of me. Well, everyone except (Y/N). No one really pays attention to her because they all think she's only a human. She's more than that. Knockout arrived without Breakdown and he followed Starscream to see what Megatron's condition was. I just stayed with (Y/N) and ignored them.

(Y/N) was distracted anyway with brushing her hair and her tail. In her defense, I do give her head rubs a lot so that's why she has to brush her hair so often. So, that's my fault. But I never dare to touch her tail. I've already made that mistake with Ravage and I almost lost my hand. Never touch the tail is what I learned from that. Or the ears. At least not too much. Breakdown soon came back and he claimed to have found a Cybertronion artifact.

The Energon Harvester. It has the ability to collect Energon from the raw Crystals and even from other bots. I will, quite happily, like to stay away from that when it's active. I was told to look on the World Wide Web for it. I found it in a museum in Jasper, Nevada. It was just sitting there, in plain sight, in the hands of a statue. Starscream told us that Megatron's well-being will have to wait as we need to collect the Harvester.

Knockout and Breakdown went there first to distract the Autobots while I went to go and get it. But, of course, Knockout and Breakdown had to make a mess of the museum and the Harvester was already gone. It wasn't the Autobots because they were all outside. It must be the humans. (Y/N) must have started looking for the Harvester before me because, suddenly, I couldn't find her.

In a panic, I started to look for her when I heard a fox cry. I ran over to where she was to see her being taken by human security along with one of the Autobots humans. I'll save (Y/N) in a minute. I have a mission. I took the Harvester from the other two humans and flew off with it. But I felt guilty for just leaving her so I gave it to Knockout and Breakdown to deliver to Starscream while I got (Y/N) back.

I returned to the museum where I heard that security had called the police. I have a holoform but I don't know what it looks like. I activated it and looked in the window at my appearance. I mean, I look somewhat police except for my visor and the hat. Okay, I think the hat can stay but I took my visor off.

But I just realized that I had one last problem: My vow of silence. You have to give commands to be a human officer. I guess this is my only excuse to break it. I want (Y/N) safe. Okay, let's give this a go. I knocked on the door and waited for an answer. The security guard answered and let me in.

"What seems to be the problem?" I asked after almost struggling to speak after so long

"These two girls broke into the museum after hours," The Security guard told me

I looked at (Y/N) who just looked scared. I need an excuse to just take her and not the other.

"I will take one of them now and leave my partner to take the other," I told him

"Why can't you take both?" The guard asked me

"This young girl here looks more worried than the other. I will take her first to calm her down."

Thankfully, the security guard bought my almost lie and I took (Y/N) away from the museum. But (Y/N) made a run for it once we were outside. I was confused until I remembered that she doesn't know what my holoform looked like. Then she won't know that was my voice! Good. I deactivated my holoform and chased after her and I caught her. She was so relieved to see me and explained everything that happened. I gave her pets to say, 'it's alright. It's over now'. She calmed down and asked if I could take her somewhere.

I nodded and she asked to go to a place in Pennsylvania. So, I did as she asked and we arrived in a forest. I was confused as to why she chose to go here. I looked around before looking back at her to see that she had disappeared again. I need to keep an eye on this girl, I swear. I started looking for her while ensuring that no humans spot me. I feel like I should have a leash or a bell on her so I don't lose her. I soon found her talking to the grass. Did I miss something? She then turned to me and smiled.

"Look up," (Y/N) said smiling

Confused, I looked up to see the stars.

"So beautiful yet so far away. But there is a way to walk among them down here on Earth," (Y/N) said

I looked at her obviously confused.

"They say that most of the stars in the sky are billions of lightyears away. But why travel to the far ends of space when you can be here, with the creatures that make their own stars."

(Y/N) fell backward into the grass and millions of little lights emerged from the grass. They slowly started to fly around us and flicker like the stars. I was in awe at the sight. I didn't know Earth could be so beautiful.

"Fireflies," (Y/N) said popping out of the grass, smiling, "Earths own little stars. Easy to find if you go to the right places and you never have to leave Earth."

One landed on (Y/N)'s nose and she giggled. I smiled at her, not that she could see it, and I admired how beautiful the area we were in looked with all the fireflies. (Y/N) asked me if I wanted to see what else Earth had to offer. I gave a rather eager nod which made her chuckle at my excitement. She let out a fox bark and so many animals came over.

A white-tailed deer, black bear, grey fox, wild turkey, squirrel, chipmunk, red-backed salamander, wood frog, beaver, raccoon, ruffed grouse, rattlesnake, and snowshoe hare. I was concerned about the snakes when (Y/N) just seemed friendly with it and picked it up. And it didn't hurt her. She almost reminds me of those animated princesses. But (Y/N) already explained to me before that, because she's part fox, she can understand the animals so she can be friendly with them.

Well, depending on their personality. She told me so much about the different animals and how wonderful they are while other humans think most of them are dangerous for the sake of wanting to fear something. But some animals are actually dangerous depending on how they are naturally. Unfortunately, our fun was cut short by Starscream wanting us back. We waved them all goodbye before heading back to the Warship. This was a fun night.
