"Hey man."
"Hey."
Val sat on the couch next to me and turned on the TV. "Anything you want to watch?"
"Nah, don't care." This was a mistake.
"Alright then. In that case we're rewatching Twilight."
"Oh fuck no I've watched it too many times thanks to you-"
"Too bad." He put the movie on.
I rolled my eyes and opened my phone instead. We are not dealing with this today.
Me, Val and Lamia have hung out quite a lot since Gerard's final race as part of BL/I. There wasn't much to be heard about them for the next few weeks, until it was apparent they started something new. They called themself Party Poison now. Which, if you ask me, fit well.
Val wasn't exactly a good friend but he was okay. He came over a lot and made me watch movies that I wasn't really fond of. But besides him and Lamia, none of my acquaintances shared my love for motorcycles, so this was the best I got.
Today us three were hanging out in my apartment. Lamia was going to collage and had a roommate, who she said wouldn't enjoy our company. Val lived with his parents still as he was in his final year of high school- not that he showed up much. So if we wanted to hang out, they generally came here.
"Hey fuckers, what's up? Oh Val, please don't tell me we're rewatching this again. It was fine at first but fucking hell."
And that was our que that Lamia let herself in. I don't remember giving her a key so it's probably Val leaving the door unlocked. Again.
"Hey man" I sighed, making room for her on the couch. I closed my phone, noticing that Gerard- or Party Poison, whatever- had apparently tweeted something as well as posting it on their Instagram. I made a mental note to myself to check out what was up later.
Lamia kicked her feet up on the table and turned her attention on the TV, clearly bored but deciding to watch the movie nonetheless. She could walk in anywhere and act as if she owned the place, which was fairly impressive. I myself am not that good at it. But I'm getting there. I hope.
Val was clearly not paying attention to anything but the TV, and Lamia had given up arguing about the choice long ago, so neither payed attention to me getting up and heading to the door. I am not leaving it unlocked, you never know who can break in randomly. I grew up in New Jersey (why the fuck did my parents have to move to California? I will never understand) so it was installed to me at a young age, to always be very careful. I locked the door and went back to the living room.
"Does anyone want pizza? I could order some," I said, sitting down on the couch again.
"Mhm, sure. Val, what do you think?"
"Hm? Oh yeah, sure I don't care. I want pineapple on mine."
"You are a horrible person."
"Thank you Frank, I never would've guessed so myself. Now shut the fuck up. My favorite part is about to come on."
"Yeah yeah, whatever." I rolled my eyes and looked up the nearest pizza place, and ordered what we usually had. I considered getting something without pineapple for val, just to spite him, but decided against it. He got so pissed of last time. Not worth it.
I didn't really want to watch the movie, so instead I went to the kitchen, deciding to make some coffee. I was bored as hell and would've preferred to go outside or play guitar, but unfortunately it wasn't possible and I didn't want to kick my friends out. Don't get me wrong, they're cool and I love spending time with them but they weren't exactly.. the best of friends? I don't know. I didn't feel like I belonged, I guess. No fun.
