As I sit in the car and look out the window I ponder on the gender of our baby could be. We're currently on our way to our doctors appointment to find out the gender of the baby, Emmett is driving and holding my hand, "So...do you want it to be a boy or a girl?" I question him. "Boy, duh. I want a little boy so I can teach him baseball." I laugh at his response and respond with, "Well what if its a girl? Are you going to teach her to play softball?"
He chuckles at my response and nods, "I honestly dont care if its a boy or girl...as long as the baby is healthy, I'm happy." He says that as he takes my hand up to his mouth and kisses it, rubbing my stomach after. My phone vibrates, I thought it was a text message but it was a photo memory, I smile at the image.

It's a photo Emerson took of me on christmas in front of the Christmas tree, when I was just starting to show. "What are you smiling at beautiful?" Emmett asks me, I show him my phone and he smiles, rubbing my stomach more. I put my phone down and lay my head back and continue to watch out the window.
Suddenly we pull into the doctor's office and he puts the car in park, rushing over to open the door for me. "M'lady." He jokes, holding a hand out for me incase I need balance. I take his offer and step out, holding my stomach, it's only a few steps to the office doors, but he holds my hand the entire way and opens the door for me. We walk in and wait by the sign that says, 'Please wait here to be assisted.' so we waited until one of the receptionist told us she could help us, "What's your name?" She asked.
"Remi Collins." I responded.
She told me ok then asked me a couple more questions, then told me we could take a seat in the waiting area. We walked over to the seats and sit down, we wait for about 15 minutes before they call my name.
*30 minutes later*
We finally leave the doctors and head back out to the car, holding the envelope that the doctor gave us with the baby's gender inside. We had told the doctor not to tell us the gender, or anything big like that, unless it concerned mine or the baby's health. "I say It's a girl." I told Emmett.
"Boy." He shortly replied. I laughed and held his hand in mine, and fidgeted with the letter with the other hand. "Do you want food?" Emerson asks me after a minute, "Yes! I'm eating for two now, I don't think I'm going to pass food up until he or she is here!" He laughs and continues driving, "How about Chic-fil-a?" He asks, I nod and smile, which makes him smile back.
We grab some food for us and Lane and Erin, once we get our food I start to devour it, "Hey, where's mine?" He asks, laughing putting his hand out. I roll my eyes and reach in the bag to get his food out handing it to him. He starts to eat as I finish my food, cupping my stomach.
We pull into the driveway of Emerson's house, where most of us have been staying since we found out I was pregnant. His mom has been really supportive of the baby and wanting to help out cost wise anyway she can, which has been really nice on me and Emmett. Once we pull in Erin comes running out for her food and the envelope, she instantly opens it not letting me and Emerson see, she looks shocked then smiles and squeals.
We take the food inside and go the movie room in Emmetts house where we finish eating. Erin and lane fall asleep and so does Emerson, he's laying down in my lap on one of the couches while I run my fingers through his hair. I can't sleep so I go to his room and grab my laptop, taking it back to where the others are.
I go onto 'buy buy BABY' and go to cribs, when I click on the tab Emmett wakes up, he sits up and asks what I'm doing. "Hey beautiful, can't sleep?"
"No, I can't so I'm ordering some baby stuff." I respond, he smiles at me. "Your nesting. My mom said she did the same thing with me." I start to tear up at the thought of him having one on one conversations like that with his mom, where I had to learn things on my own, It felt like I never actually had a mom. When he realizes I'm tearing up he sits up and gently places a kiss on my lips, "It's ok beautiful, I promise." I look back to my laptop and we pick out things we like before ordering them so when we find out the gender we can place the order. Once we finish picking things out I close my laptop and fall asleep next to him.
We're suddenly awoken by Erin yelling into the movie room, "Me and Lane are going shopping for the gender reveal, we'll be back in a bit." then she swiftly leaves the room grabbing Lanes hand.
"Well that's that I guess." I state, looking at the half awake Emerson next to me, I laugh at his confusion and messy hair. I run my finger through it to 'comb' it, he giggles and gets goosebumps at the touch of my fingers. We both fall back asleep for an hour.
Once we both wake up I grab my laptop and me and him start on the invites for the party, we both argue over what design and formatting we both want, and finally we settle on one. We send it out and just in time too, Erin and Lane are walking in. "Hey lovebirds!" I exclaim, "How was shopping? What color did you get?" I continue, she starts then realizes what I'm doing. She scowls at me and rolls her eyes, walks away and starts decorating, I laugh and close my laptop.
*3 days later*
I'm in Emersons bathroom curling my hair for the party when Erin walks in, "Hey wifey, lets hurry it up people are starting to arrive." She informs me, my eyes go wide and I unplug my curling iron, spraying hair spray all over my hair. "Will you help me with my dress?" I ask Erin, "Of course!" She instantly responds shutting the bathroom door behind her. I let my robe fall hanging it up, Erin lifts the dress over my head and zips the zipper in the back up. "Ok lets go find out the gender of your babies!" I give her a weird look, "Babies?" She quickly corrects herself, "Sorry! I meant baby!" She grabs my hand pulling me out of the bathroom and downstairs.
As I walk outside to find Emmett, I am greeted by 'congratulations, how are you, what do you think the gender will be' and hugs...lots and lots of hugs! I finally find Emerson and ask him if he's ready. "Ready to do this?"
"I was born ready beautiful!" He says smiling and kissing me, I motion for Erin to start ushering people outside, she does just that.
Once she has everyone outside, she hands me and Emerson a color cannon and pulls her phone out to take photos and videos. "Ok!! Whenever you guys are ready!" Erin yells towards us.
I look up towards him and nod as we both start counting down, soon enough everyone chimes in.
"THREE!"
"TWO!"
"ONE!"
We twist the bottom of the cannons to reveal the color...

Don't hate me for this cliffhanger!! I promise the next few chapters, of what I already have plotted out, will NOT have any cliffhangers!! As always I hope you guy enjoyed and let me know what you think of it.
