BAD END: Beloved Abyss

Hello everyone, whenever I read romances or play otome games I always like to imagine/play the bad ends that might have happened had the romance gone sour. So, I've decided to write a couple of short BAD ENDs that may have happened if Judar and Ruhya hadn't gotten their happy ending.

Trigger Warning: These BAD ENDS are not supposed to portray healthy relationships in any way, nor are they meant to romanticize abuse. The content will be dark, but descriptions will not be too graphic.

The sound of clinking chains quietly filled the room as Moondancer shifted her legs. Her head felt foggy and her eyelids heavy, but it's not like it mattered whether she actually opened her eyes or not.

Everything was dark, eyes closed or wide open.

She didn't bother with wearing her blindfolds anymore, she couldn't remember the last time she saw any light. Had it been 3 or 4 months since Judar locked her away? Moondancer couldn't remember, maybe it had been even longer. It was hard to conjure up any memories from before the Dark Room.

She impatiently fidgeted with the sown sequins on her skirt, wondering when the Black Magi would return. His visits were the only thing she had to look forwards to, he was often rough and cruel, but anything was better than the unending darkness that suffocated Moondancer when he was gone.

The delicate chains around her ankle pulled tight as Moondancer reached the end of the length it allowed her to move. If she moved to the left of her bed she could reach the wall of the room and walk along it for a bit before being pulled back, but if she moved to the right she could only reach a few of her necessities and nothing more. The small stretch of wall she could touch had a small groove from where her hand touched it as she walked back and forth.

A faint memory of her pulling at the chain and banging on the cool stone wall surfaced, but was quickly lost to the fog sifting through her mind. Escaping seemed so silly now, there was nothing for her left outside. Everything she could ever need was inside the Dark Room.

Moondancer's ears perked up at the sweet sound of muffled footsteps and jingling keys.

The Magi of Darkness had returned.

She quickly raced back to the bed and laid on her side, waiting for Judar to make his grand entrance.

The door soundlessly swung open and Moondancer shivered as the aura of the room shifted. She couldn't see him, but she knew that Judar was stalking towards her. If she squinted her eyes hard enough, she could almost swear that she saw the gleam of his ruby eyes.

It was quickly becoming her favorite color. It was the only color she could see.

"Welcome back." Moondancer purred as she reached out her hands for Judar.

"Did ya miss me?"

Moondancer nodded as he embraced her and ran his hands through her hair. His voice was rough as sandpaper and grated her ears, but she craved it like water in the desert. The feeling of flesh under her fingertips sent chills up her spine, Judar's body was repulsive but it felt much better than stone. Moondancer whimpered as he pulled too tightly on her hair.

"I love it when you make that noise." Judar murmured as he nipped at her ear and pressed her closer to him. Moondancer could only moan in reply as his lips slowly found her sweet spots.

His kisses were acid against her skin, burning themselves deep into her bones.

She hated how he touched her...she hoped he never stopped.
