I thought it was a really bad dream but I guess not. I don't understand why shitty things like these happen to me.You thought sliding out of bed.

Time to get ready for the day😒

You walked out of your room with your hair pinned back if short, or in a ponytail.Wearing a white button up under a gray sweater and black jeggings,(really any work casual clothing would work).

Even though it was supposed to be your off day, your supervisor called you in, probably to fire you. If was anything else you couldn't think of it.

You went downstairs and looked around. There was no sign of your father. Where is that inconsiderate bastard anyway. Your father probably left somewhere but you could care less. You had other things to stress about.

You've had this job for 2 years and every day you came in on time, ready to work. You were arguably their best employee and despite being a bit reserved, you were well liked by all the library staff.
Applying for a job was a no brainer since you didn't want to rely on your fathers money anymore. Any job with a financial assistant position would've sufficed, but you loved going to the library as a child because of the serenity and security of being surrounded by books. so it was the best of both worlds.

"Y/n, I called you in here today-"

" To fire me, I know" You interrupt.

He cleared his throat. " W-well do you know why?" He asked.

Yeah I have a few guesses, maybe cause my father who owns a multi-million dollar company recently filled for bankruptcy and  you don't want his kid around here cause your trying to save face you snot nosed pig.

"No sir." You answered.

"Really?  You have no idea?"He said not hiding his  disappointment.

Silence.

"You've been slacking for the last week and taken several days off at a time without notice." He stated.

That was bull.

You got up form your seat and walked out of the door.

"Wait! Where are you going?" He said.

"I'm leaving, you fired me remember?  I have no reason to be here." You stated.

You walked out of the office and headed for your office, to get your things. There wasn't a lot you had to get. All of the items including your bachelors degree, fit in a box.

After you finished you walked out and headed to the main entrance. As you walked you could feel eyes on you, watching your every movement.

This wasn't anything new so you kept walking.
People looked at you all the time, sometimes because it was out of envy, sometimes out of jealous, or just out of pure hatred.

"Looks like he finally fired them." A voice said.

"Yeah well it was about time, we don't need someone like them working here."

"If they stayed here any longer we would've go bankrupt too."

You heard them snicker when you walked out the door. When did the entrance to this place become so long. You sigh and head into your car putting the box in a seat next to you.

You start the car and back out of the parking lot. It was only 2:00. Dinner was at 7. You decided to get coffee at a shop near the office.

"Local multi-millionaire Sakuri  L/N files for bankruptcy after ignoring spending limits and  warnings from his advisors." The reporter announced. "His daughter hasn't commented on the matter. People say she doesn't care and chooses to ignore it entirely. Speculation says she's an entitled brat and only cares about money"

"Breaking news-"

You heard all of that when you walked  inside the shop. It wasn't the first newscast and it sure as hell wasn't the last.

The barista behind the counter didn't notice me she was making someone else's drink.

That someone else noticed who I was right away and gave me a look.

"Hi what can I get for you?" They asked

"Yes can I have a Carmel macchiato, and a scone?" You say.

"Of course, that will be $5.76," she said. " What's the name for the order?"

"Y/n." You said. There was a bit of hesitation in your voice.

"Ok your order-" She stared at you.

Here it comes.
